We enjoyed the quiet location and ocean view - the interior was nicely decorated, but… after a long day flying over from the Big Island, driving around and doing a little hiking, when we arrived (didn’t receive notice to check-in till about 4:15pm), all we wanted was to get in, clean up, and go have some supper. It was pleasant outside, but then we walked into our unit and it was easily over 85 degrees with no A/C running. The main unit in the living area looked like it had been there since the 70’s and even with it running 24/7, that room barely was comfortable. Yes, as listed, there were 2 newer units in each of the bedrooms, but when a place is that hot, it took a very long time to get cool-ish. The bedroom on the main floor had a door to close and cool that small space, so it wasn’t as much of an issue - that is until you stepped into the bathroom with no window or ventilation and began sweating. The bedroom upstairs was another story - with no doors to the room, a high ceiling, and the ceiling fan not blowing down on you to help feel circulation, it was rarely ever cool enough - and the bathroom upstairs was again, stuffy with no ventilation or air movement and just continually warm/hot (even a cool shower didn’t seem to help). It was a lovely unit, but with the open layout, all of the hot air in the unit ended upstairs in the master bedroom and even with the units running continuously, never felt cool enough. Disappointing to say the least, might work in winter.

This is an older property, well-maintained, nestled in near the harbor at Ma'alaea. The grounds are gorgeous and there is a very nice, very clean pool on the grounds. The condo itself was spacious, well-appointed, and offered a nice view of the harbor. Unlike some of the adjacent properties, this one is on a sandy beach which is just a minute or two from the condo. Others nearby just have abrupt, rocky drop offs, but this is a real little beach. The small park nearby is sweet and we enjoyed some beautiful morning yoga there, looking out at the ocean. The property manager could not have been more helpful and the owners were supportive and treated us very fairly when a small issue came up. We loved this place and would gladly stay there again.
No table, crappy a/c, upstairs b/r is a death trap. Bed area is raised BUT step DOWN into closet??? Step down next to bed to exterior windows with windows that do not open. Pay attention or a fall Is probable.
A/C units in the room, not thru a wall, IN THE ROOM. Do not remember seeing that in pics or description.
Instructions for unit were outdated in some areas. WiFi was wrong, no idea how to watch TV although NetFlix and Amazon were ok. A note about recycling would have been nice, only found what was recyclable when we threw out garbage.
Beach chairs, towels and boogie boards was good.
Beach shown in pictures is public beach, not on property.
All in all, Hawaii, great, condo, not so much.
Downstairs bathroom tub was difficult to enter with no bar for aid.
Our family truly enjoyed our stay at this property. It’s perfectly located within 20 minutes from the airport in a quieter part of the island yet close enough to drive to many neighboring areas and enjoy the attractions and restaurants. Perfect balance of a peaceful and engaging active getaway!
We were very happy with this rental and with quick responses from the rental agency to answer questions. It is literally a 30 second walk to the beach where we were able to snorkel on calm water days. We even saw sea turtles right off the shore. The condo has A/C in both bedrooms and in the living area which was a blessing. It was only a 15 minute drive to the airport and a 15-30 minute drive up the West coast of Maui to many wonderful beaches. We were also located less than a mile from the harbor where daily snorkel tours depart. We visited the Kihei Food Truck park several times and had great food. But if you are looking for a condo with upscale restaurants nearby this isn't it. We would have had to drive to a neighboring town for that. It was a really great stay and we thank the owners for making this condo rental available.
We stayed for a few nights to extend a corporate event at a resort in Wailea. It was a great value for two couples. The condo was clean and well equipped. A short walk to the marina gave us lots of places to eat and explore. We reccomend the General Store for breakfast and sandwiches. The complex is next to a public park that was quite lively. It made for good people watching but we did sacrifice some quiet.
The layout of the unit was excellent and it was well equipped for beach activities. The kitchen was one of the best equipped rental units we have ever stayed in. The unit was very clean. Living room chairs were very tired but beds were comfy and bathrooms nice.Great view from balcony/lanai to the beach. Our only surprise was there was a public camp ground directly beside the unit and at one point a bouncy castle was erected almost under our lanai as it is right on the property line. Hawaiians are free to camp on any public beach however we found it to be a bit of an eye sore as it did take away from beach view.
Everything I could have asked for. The small condo development is adjacent to a 2 mile undeveloped beach. The condo's amenities were B+. It was a pleasure watching the local families use the adjacent county park.
This is one of the nicest condos that we have rented in Hawaii. We really like to cook when we are in a condo and this one was very well appointed. Had everything we needed and everything was in good condition. The view was beautiful the property was very well-maintained and the beach was lovely. We will definitely be back. The only two downsides were the fact that the stairs to the master bedroom are fairly narrow and steep so could present an issue if anybody has mobility issues. The other was the laundry room. Very old machines requiring an app for payments that did not work very well. Otherwise an awesome location!
