The condo was in the perfect location for exploring Maui and had beautiful ocean views.
The condo was just as we expected, with everything we need from beach chairs to coolers to a well furnished kitchen. And there was more in Maalaea than we expected. Our only surprise was the wind coming down over the flat part of the island from Kahului (July).

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay in this condo. Great location and views. Clean and comfortable, with everything we needed and more. One minor problem was quickly remedied by the owner. Will definitely consider staying here again.
My husband and I recently spent 10 days in this beautiful condo overlooking the ocean in Maalaea. It’s hard to imagine a better place to stay. The hosts have thought of everything—every utensil, dish, bowl, pot, frying pan, pencil and paper, tote bags, detergent, spices in the food closet , oil, vinegar—you get the idea. We felt as though they did everything in their power to make our stay a good one, and it was. They probably didn’t arrange for us to see the couple of whales we did from their balcony, but it would also not have surprised us to learn they had a hand in it. Returning each evening to the condo was a true respite from our busy days. Sitting on the lanai, watching and listening to the ocean, made for a perfect ending to each amazing day on Maui. The only criticism we can offer is that it made leaving VERY hard. If you are looking for a great place to stay on Maui, you can’t beat this one. Enjoy!
We really enjoyed our stay last week! the apartment was perfect for the two of us. the view was spectacular and we loved eating breakfast on the lanai in the mornings and watching the surfers. the location was very central and it was so convenient to get around the island from Maalaea. Thanks Vicki and John for sharing this property with us!
Incredibly wonderful. The place has every personal touch that is needed. The place was impeccably clean with a warm feeling. I know when I come back to this beautiful island where I will be staying.

Owner is wonderful, always accessible, condo has everything you need, great ocean view and very quiet
I just spent a wonderful week decompressing and quieting the mind. I already miss the view of the surfers, ocean and islands from your lanai. The pink tone sunsets were beautiful and the night time stars, so bright. Thank you for a restful vacation.

We have stayed in Island Sands for the past six years and have found it very comfortable. Everything you need is there. The view is wonderful from the Lania, whales can be seen often. We do like the location, as it is quiet and everywhere you want to go is easily accessible. A walk to the beach or to the harbour is lovely in the morning. Very relaxing I must say! We enjoy the people we meet there at the pool, the coffee party Friday mornings, and also the pupu party on Saturday evening. All in all a great place to stay in paradise.
