Lot’s of fun things to do at this house to keep kids busy. Close to the beach.
Great location, walk across road toMagic Sands Beach, drive a half mile to snorkeling with clear water good variety of fish and we even saw some large sea turtles. Take the opportunity to night snorkel with Captain Bill. This Manta Ray experience is super, and it’s ten minutes from the house. Bill and Levi were fun and informative. We were a group of nine from four to seventy four. Hope to go back again.
We loved the property. Easy check in and great communication with on site manager. We had a minor bug problem on our third day but the onsite manager got someone out really fast to take care of it. Just one thing to make note of is that the driveway exits to a semi-busy street and the visibility of cars coming from the left is limited. You just have to keep an eye out and ease out and turn left quickly if you are going in that direction. Not a problem but just something to be aware of. No issues with anything and good instructions left onsite. Magic Sands is an easy walk but make sure you bring water shoes as the big island beaches are more rocky than sandy. A lot different than Oahu or Maui. Black Sands Beach, Two Step Beach, and the beach at the park by the harbor are very close and great places for beach time. Take the wagon to haul gear. Heavenly Coffee has great views in the morning looking down on Kona. Get a Scraggle there! Donuts and breakfast sandwiches and wraps are across the street. We would defiantly stay here again and after visiting Hilo, we would probably stay more on the Kona side and just drive to things in Hilo. If you head to Hilo, try Randy's Huli Chicken. On the Kona side we ate at a lot of good places and didn't find anything we didn't like so explore and try. Our Best excursions were the Mona Kea Star Gazing, get Fernando as your guide, and the night time Manta Ray snorkel, make sure it is the Hang Loose crew and captain. Simply Amazing!
This was a perfect place for our family of nine - 6 years to 72 yrs. Close to beaches, great views & plenty of space. Great pool & other amenities. It’s on a busy street so at times can be noisy but that was not an issue for us. Owner & management very responsive to any questions or issues. Would stay there again with a large group.
We could not have had a better stay! Three generations, and everyone had a great time. The younger kids many days went from the pool, to the beach and back to the pool. I think they were in the water six hours a day! Everyone enjoyed pickleball and the pool. Air conditioning was appreciated, internet was strong enough for ten of us, shaved ice just feet from the house and a two minute walk to one of the best beaches on the island! Needed help one time, and the problem was resolved in a manner of hours. Could not have asked for more.
Our whole family (3 children and their spouses plus 3 grandchildren) spent a week at the beach house near Magic Sands Beach. We had an incredible time exploring the island but enjoyed our time at the house the most. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The pool, the games, the view on the lanai. We will be talking about this trip for long time! Thank you for the everlasting memories!
Wonderful location!!! The pickleball court and pool were a major plus. Everything was clean and the grill worked great.
Our family of 10 (6 adults and 4 kids ages 9-11) had a great time at this beach house! The location is amazing, across the street from Magic Sands Beach, and gorgeous ocean and sunset views from the third floor (main floor). The bottom level is full of activities with the pool and pickleball court being the biggest hits with our family. We also appreciated the amount of bath and beach towels, and all the beach accessories available to use. Would recommend this property to anyone looking in the area!
The house was nice and served our group perfectly. Would rent again if we go back to the Big Island
My family of 8 truly enjoyed our trip. The house was perfect. Plenty of space to spread out and the pool was awesome. Brand-new towels made it even better. Can't beat the location.
We were a group of 11, ages 4 to 75, traveling from 4 different states to celebrate our matriarch's 75th birthday. I have traveled using many vacation homes before, and I must say, this home was everything it is described to be and full of everything a family needs to enjoy a great stay in Kona. It is obvious that there is intentional planning for amenities and necessities and making the stay comfortable. I highly recommend this property. Thanks so much for making our stay easy peesy!
Very comfortable house with so many fun activities at house and just across street. The house had it all and made our family vacation easy and relaxing.
We are 4 sisters and our spouses that enjoyed our stay at the beach house. We appreciated 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and spacious great room to gather in. Glorious air conditioning! In addition there were all the beach toys, pickleball court, pool, ping pong table, football… so much to do so little time when not exploring the island.
This house was great for our annual extended family trip. It was clean and well stocked. Several extra fridges and laundry machines. Communication with the homeowner was very immediate. Just a note if there are elderly people staying at the house, there are ALOT of stairs. Magic Sands Beach is literally just across the street… we walked over for the sunset everyday. Would stay again.
