We cannot say enough great things about our stay at the Whaler. Our unit had everything you could possibly need during our stay. The unit was beautiful, clean, nicely renovated and upgraded. The kitchen has everything you could need for prepping a meal or entertaining guests. The pool, spa, and Bar-B-Q areas are clean and well taken care of. We look forward to our next return trip after the new year. Thank you for the love and care, and allowing us to share your home.

I am giving this rating of 2 only because we were very unhappy with the owner’s responses to an issue we had.
First of all, though, I must say the condo is beautifully remodeled and the location is great. It is on the 4 the floor and has a great view of the ocean due to being on the beach end of the building. The beach is just a minute walk.
The problem was that there was maintenance and painting scheduled for the building and there was no mention of it before we booked. Our first day there we were out all day and when we returned the balcony had been covered in plastic, which blocked the view. When I asked the supervisor on the job he said he couldn’t remove it. He promised it would be removed by the next day as the work would not take long. No work was done the whole week and we left with the view still blocked. When I informed the owner she replied that she had told us there would be painting outside the building and she had given us the option to cancel before we came. Problem was she hadn’t. We were only told about the possibility of work on her unit after we had booked but no offer of cancellation without losing 50% of the full amount for the week. I even sent her copies of the emails we had received and her reply was to blame the fires and that she had no control over any work being done.
It’s a great condo but if anything goes wrong don’t expect the owner to take responsibility.

We were thrilled to stay at this property and unit. It was beautifully remodeled with new kitchen appliances, spotless and with a gorgeous ocean view to enjoy on the Lanai! This Whaler’s condo is close to Black Rock for snorkeling, easy access to water excursions and right next to Whaler’s Village. The concierge was very helpful. We were able to fit our family of 4 comfortably. Highly recommend!! - Lois from San Diego

We stayed in late June at this wonderful 1 bed 2 bath. The place was clean and well stocked with the essentials and then some. When we weren't out and about, we loved sitting on the lanai and watching the ocean.
Everything was great with exception to the fridge not working. It seems a new fridge was put in just before we arrived, and it wasn't cold our entire stay, so we couldn't save leftovers. The owner reached out to my initial message, but didn't follow-up after I sent another message that it still wasn't working after 24hrs. Hopefully, it's working for whoever is there now. Other than that, this place was perfect.
