Just a few minutes away by automobile is the historic town of Hanalei. Its crescent-shaped beach on Hanalei Bay features the Pine Tree surf area at Waioli Beach Park. The forested hills back nearby Lumahai Beach which was a location in the movie “South Pacific.” East of town, the Hanalei Valley Lookout offers views of mountains and taro fields.
