AMAZING NEIGHBORHOOD! Great house with tons of space, keep in mind there’s a lot of stairs so this house won’t be the best fit for those who can’t do stairs. Upstairs patio was the best part of the house & the backyard is like a mini jungle - even has 2 swings! The furniture is a bit dated & could be a bit more modern, but the amenities for the beach & for kids were really top notch (5 bikes, beach chairs/umbrellas, pool table, coloring books, etc) Overall we loved the stay!

Well designed property, nicely outfitted for everything especially beach activities. Nice back yard and above average views for the area. Beach walkable in 15-20”. Has a “lived in”feel which is nice if you have kids. The cleaning prior to our stay was not up to the highest standard. Overall the positives way outshined the negatives.

We had a lovely stay in this Princeville house. We had fun driving to the beach close by in Hanalei, playing soccer on the fields near the community center and relaxing! The owner was incredibly responsive and check in and out were seamless. For those considering accessibility when booking, this property has many levels with steps separating the levels. The main level (entry level) has 3 of the bedrooms. The kitchen and living room is upstairs and the final bedroom with a sitting area outside of the room, is located down a level of stairs that are deeper and steeper than the other stairs in the house. The kitchen was well stocked and we were treated to albatross babies getting ready to fledge around the corner in multiple directions! There were a few things in the house that need attention (fridge water and ice dispensers, a few burners on the stove, etc), but these were small things that didn’t impact our stay! This house worked great for our multigenerational family including young children, teens, and several adults, along with seniors.

We loved our stay here in Kauai. There were 10 of us (our family and grandparents) and the layout/bedroom arrangement suited our family perfectly. There was lots of space to spread out and gather. Well stocked with a great assortment of surf boards, body boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs, umbrellas, great kids books, games, ect. The kids loved the pool table in the garage! House is in a nice, quiet neighborhood that had great walking trails around the golf course and was a nice walk to the grocery store and ice cream. We drove around the island and this was definitely our favorite part for the lush greenery! Short driving distance to lots of beaches- Hanale Bay was our favorite!
Highest quality home and furnishings. 3 stories - basement bed/living suite leading out to huge lush yard; street level with master suite and 2 bedroom/bath suite; upper story with kitchen, 1/2bath, living room and corner lanai with views of both mountains and sea. Both owner and manager were extremely helpful/responsive. Lots of beach toys in garage; play area for kids under stairs. 10 minute drive to Hanalai beach - perfect for families.
The home and property were spacious and beautiful, everyone had their own space to spread out. The access to beach equipment was very helpful and fun for our family. Only complaints were the bug problem in the kitchen area and the property description states that it is next to and walkable to the beaches. We had to drive to get to the nearest beach areas.Everything else was great!!
Wow!!! What a great place! We had nine in our party. There was plenty of room for everyone. The lanai was perfect for relaxing. The house was clean and had plenty of beach supplies. There are 3 beaches within a short drive or walk. Hanalei was just down the road and a ton of fun. Would definitely recommend!!!
Great location in Princeville for first half of our stay. Good for larger groups and kids. Stayed here with 7 adults and a toddler under 2 and the space felt perfect

This was our first time traveling as an extended family and this home was perfect for everyone- ages 6 months to 61 years. There was ample space for everyone in our party (9 in total, including the baby) and all the amenities we needed (plenty of kitchen tools, plates, silver ware, a grill, bath towels, beach towels, snorkels, boogie boards, a pack n play and other baby goods, etc, etc, etc).
We fit 3 cars in the driveway easily. Princeville is a terrific neighborhood for walks, bike rides and enjoying peace and quiet. There is a good grocery store very close by and our favorite small town in the world, Hanalei, is a 15 minute scenic drive from the house. The south and west sides of the island are an hour drive away, and worth exploring, but the drive is so beautiful, you don't even notice.
Communication was easy and responsive. The rate was very good for what you get. If you haven't been to Kauai, please know that it is a life-changing experience (my grumpy dad's words). If you have been and appreciate the north shore this is a gem for mid-size families.
Our family, including kids and grandkids, were quite comfortable in Matt's Princeville home. It has great access to the beaches, trails and shops on the north shore of Kauai, and is well stocked with beach and snorkle gear and boards, and indoor and outdoor games for guest use. We prepared all our breakfasts and dinners in the well-outfitted kitchen and greatly enjoyed the fresh fish and sushi from Dolphin Fish Market. The house was just as represented and a pleasure to be in. We had a wonderful week in Kauai. Thanks to Matt and family.
We enjoyed staying here with seven adults and one six month old! There was room for everyone, and the kitchen was perfect for cooking! The Mountainview‘s in this area are stunning and we enjoyed trips to Kilauea and Hanalei. A great stay at a great house!
