Let me start, simply, with... we genuinely miss this rental after returning home from vacation. Everything was there that we needed, it was so easy to have this as our base to explore the island. We thought the lack of A/C would be a problem. Actually, it led to some of the best sleep we've ever had. The windows across the entire unit encourage airflow. The sound of the waves crashing in all night was perfect - people pay good money for white noise machines that are as good as the real thing. Special callout to the shower - perfect for a nice washdown before bed. Having a second bathroom downstairs... total timesaver each morning as we got ready to leave. Finally, the location was perfect for where we based all of our activities from. (Our fav... taking a pup out for a day of fun from the Kauai Humane Society. So rewarding, can't recommend it enough.)We will be 100% looking to stay in Kapaa Sands 2 on our next trip to Kauai. No doubt at all.
We were a little surprised with no A/C but the air flowed through the windows and was wonderful. Couldnt ask for a better view! Bed was comfy and we had everything we needed. Thanks for a great stay! Hope to be back some day!
We love all that this place had to offer. Hearing the crashing of the waves as you sleep with the windows open. Walking out to the ocean. In the middle of everything you need. Short walk to a wonderful bakery, restaurants , grocery store and shopping . In the middle of the island so day excursions to the North Side or South Side were very easy. We loved the extra space of 2 stories with 2 bedrooms instead of being cramped in a hotel room. Loved it and would rent again if we go back!
Enjoyed our stay, good central location with nice views of the beach. All the items we needed supplied in the unit. Laundry onsite.
There are rosters to wake you up early, whether needed or not and the sound of the ocean was loud the first night, then became white noise as we became accustomed.
Would stay again if on the island.
