Lovely one bedroom condo in the Fairway Terrace complex located in Waikoloa Village.  Sitting at 800 ft elevation, Waikoloa Village offers nice breezes and slightly cooler temps than down at sea level.  This condo is nicely located about 7 miles from the nearest beach and close to other wonderful beaches including the 2021 best beach in the United States, Hapuna Beach State Park. 

Welcome to your vacation home!  M206 is on the upper floor with a lovely lanai you can enjoy your morning coffee from.    Kitchen is quaint and open to the living room, stocked with coffee maker, utensils and dishware.  Living room is nice and open and has all the space you need to relax after a day of adventuring around the island!  The bedroom has a new king sized bed, dresser and TV.  The sofa is also a pull out sofa bed with a memory foam mattress. 

The washer/dryer are conveniently located off the kitchen, there are Tommy Bahama beach chairs, boogie board and a sun umbrella.  The unit has an iron and ironing board plus ample closet space.  This is a gated condo complex, one assigned parking space.  This condo is located on the second floor, with about 20 stairs going up.  Complex has a pool, jacuzzi and a lovely barbeque area. Just minutes away from some of the most beautiful beaches on the island.

The Waikoloa Village Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the driving range, putting green and clubhouse are located only a 5 minute walk away, with discounts available for those staying in the condo. The community pool, two tennis courts, and a marvelous bookmobile are adjacent, along with a casual bar and grill. Six other world-class golf courses are all within a 30 minute drive. Waikoloa Village is perfect for year round enjoyment: temperatures of 75-85 year-round, afternoon breezes, little rain and very few insects. It is also a great home base for exploring other parts of the island. Take the car to beautiful beaches, like Hapuna Beach or “69”, just 10-15 minutes away for great snorkeling, turtle-watching, and beach time, or stroll into one of the beach resorts for a sunset cocktail.

Waimea, offering fine eateries, shopping and the historic Parker Ranch, is only 25 minutes away. Kona is 35 minutes away in the other direction, just past the airport, with all the hustle and bustle of a tourist destination. (Don’t forget Costco if you’re going into Kona.) We enjoyed our stay here at the Fairway Terrace. The unit is very clean, bed was very comfortable and great quality sheets and towels in the unit. A TV in the bedroom and living room is nice for retreating to the bedroom with A/C when it's warm. Kitchen was well appointed with all our needs. Great unit for a couple. The pool was about a 5min walk to the units next door, but easy to get to. Lounge chairs there were uncomfortable. My only negatives (if I had any) were that you have to park on the street and walk in when you first arrive to get the keys out of the unit to get in the gate. It took us a bit to find the unit at first. It's the second driveway, not the first where the office is at. Also, since the AC unit is in the bedroom, two things. The living room can run a bit warm once the sun comes out. We found running the living room fan with the back facing the bedroom helped a little to pull in the cooler air and opening the balcony door in the evening when the sun goes down. And since the unit for AC is in the window, the shutter stays open, so privacy is limited, especially at night when people can see in your window. But it is the second floor, so that's helpful. And just one last heads up. Parking is a bit tight, so if you're renting a large vehicle, you may have to park somewhere other than the provided stall. Otherwise had a great overall stay and would definitely stay again. Mahalo!
