The "Akai Beach House" is a beautiful 5 bedroom 4 bath home that sleeps 14 with ocean views, a pool, air conditioning and a large game room in the garage. Enjoy ping pong and foosball, or relax on the couch and watch TV in the game room. Magic Sands Beach - the best sandy beach in Kona - is an easy 5 minute walk from home offering swimming, sunbathing, boogie boarding and beach volleyball. (Note: Magic Sands Beach gets it's name from the fact that if there are large storms/waves the sand may disappear from time to time and then comes back.) The home has two full kitchens, one upstairs and one downstairs with two separate living rooms. Perfect for multi-family and/or a multi-generational stay. Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, full kitchen and living room. Downstairs, there are 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen and living room. There is a washer/dryer both upstairs and downstairs. 4 bedrooms have spacious California King sized beds and one has a queen. Additionally, there are two double/queen sized futon couches in the upstairs living room. Further, we offer several padded cots for guests to use throughout the home. Great ocean views and sunsets from the upstairs living room, dining room, bedrooms and pool. Watch the sunset while lounging around the pool! Pool has a nice deck area with a bbq for family cookouts. Great snorkeling and surfing are only a half mile away at Kahaluu Bay, just south of our home. Vast shopping and dining options are only 2 miles away at downtown Kailua-Kona to the North and 1.5 miles from the Keauhou Shopping center to the South. Accordingly, you can quickly access grocery stores and places to eat. You also can walk to Magics Grill (at Magic Sands Beach) for cocktails and dinner, with amazing ocean views. The house has ample parking and is located on a quiet street. We have plenty of beach toys such as boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, and a wagon etc... for guests to enjoy. The house was remodeled in October 2022 with new flooring, AC, interior paint and many new furnishings....

From the moment we stepped into this property, we were greeted with ample space and comfort. The description was spot on - every inch of this home felt carefully designed to accommodate our family of eight. With plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, everyone had their own sanctuary. The living areas were expansive and beautifully furnished, perfect for gatherings and quality time together. We were impressed by the array of amenities provided - from the well-equipped kitchen to the entertainment options, there was something for everyone. Our stay was wonderful.

Clean, well-stocked, room to relax and room to gather, lots to do and play with…it was the perfect home base for our annual multi-generational family trip. Question emailed to owner was answered in minutes…very responsive. Stroll to beach was a breeze; could have eaten dinner at Magic Sands Grill every night if there weren’t other options to explore in Kona. Turns out we ordered dinner delivery two nights because we were having so much fun at the house. Thanks for a great vacation.

Everything about this property is perfect !
We had a large family reunion on the Big Island and this
location could not be better. The property is gorgeous and the location is superb. However we had a little problem figuring out which bedrooms to divide between us because of the teenagers and young children. The property has no internal stairs so you have to exit by the deck and go upstairs to main level. This was a little problematic to our group so we put the young kids in the upstairs (main) level on the comfortable futon beds.
Other than that small problem the place is spectacular!
Plenty of games, beach toys and snorkel gear, ping pong, etc. You will enjoy your stay I promise !

It was nice to have a beautiful pool, but the shallow end is about 4 foot deep. It is a large property with 2 kitchens. The only way to access the floors, is outside.

This is an amazing property. The view from the deck and pool area is breathtaking. The location is a good balance between being in a quiet neighborhood, yet close to all of the fun in Kona.

Great time spent with daughters' families (10 of us). Enjoyed view of ocean and sunsets. Gkids loved the pool and easy walk to beach.

Our family of 10 (2 grandparents and 2 families of 4) stayed in this beautiful home to celebrate our 50th anniversary. The house, with its fully equipped upstairs and downstairs living spaces, accommodated everyone beautifully. The kitchen and large dining table upstairs has plenty of seating for 10 or more. We spent lots of time on the deck with its beautiful view, and made good use of the private swimming pool. The recreation room in the garage was great entertainment for our grandkids, and also had beach chairs, beach toys, and boogie boards that we used when visiting various Big Island beaches. This was a dream vacation for us- thank you so much!

Great location, very nice house which worked well for 10 people. Very nice sunset views. House was pretty well stocked and the pool was a great plus! Information provided by the owner was extremely helpful. Overall very happy with our stay and feel very blessed to have enjoyed this home near the beaches, restaurants and shopping.

My group of 9 friends had a terrific time on the Kona shore. The house was lovely, spacious, clean, well laid out and decorated, and had a great location just a short drive from shops, restaurants, and beaches. The kitchen was fantastically equipped and there was a nice selection of beach equipment. We enjoyed the pool as well. Nine thumbs up!

The house is located in a quiet neighborhood with an easier walk to two beaches. The pool and deck are was an extra bonus.

The house is fantastic, great pool and outdoor space where we spent most of out time. The house is equipped with everything you need. Be warned the people in the downstairs unit will hear you walking around upstairs so if you are with kids maybe sleep them downstairs. Also the quite time is inforced, it really is so peaceful at night. If you're going to be partying this is not the house for you. Highly recommmend the Manta Ray excursion with Bill, the owners of the house will provide that information.

We really enjoyed everything about this property! They are very well stocked, right from the towels, kitchen and beach and pool toys. We had 9 people, 3 families and there was plenty of room for everyone.
