I loved staying here. It's clean, quiet, excellent location, easy self check-in & parking, quiet and efficient air conditioning, and you can hear the ocean from the bed. You can see the ocean from the little window in the shower. What's not to love? I want to stay here again.

The complex was quiet, tranquil, and beautiful. The condo was comfortable, clean, nicely stocked, with a terrific location. Enjoyed the beachfront sitting & BBQ area - perfect for meals, watching the sunset. The rental company was incredibly attentive and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The unit we rented was very clean and had everything you would need for your vacation. The property grounds were immaculate and well cared for. Close to town for restaurants and some shopping. We really appreciated the fact that this unit had air conditioning as a couple of our days were quite warm. The management company, Knutson and Associates checked in briefly during our stay to make sure everything was okay. Appreciated that. We would stay at this unit again.

We really enjoyed this property. Very clean and well kept. A couple of considerations however for those with mobility issues, this is a third floor unit with no elevator access. I have a bad knee and by the end of the trip my knee was shot from all the walking and sightseeing, so the stairs were a bit of a pain point for me. Also, the unit is beautiful and we really enjoyed the view from the lanai, but the windows for the bedroom are louvered windows and do let quite a bit of sound in from outside, so if you're a light sleeper, I recommend running white noise on your phone or running the fan on a higher setting. The beach chairs in the closet, and the cooler that was available made our stay a lot easier to plan without having to worry about renting or purchasing things we would need to leave behind. Also want to add that Knutson and Associates was fantastic to work with, and provided such clear instructions for making our stay as worry free as possible. They also provided ample communication to ensure our needs were met.

My family and I loved staying at Kona Isla C38! I looked for several weeks for a beautiful rental and am so glad I chose this rental. Knutson staff were extremely professional, prompt, and helpful with all my questions. The rental was beautiful and clean with all the amenities we needed. We only needed to bring our pick of groceries! The additional mini fridge on the balcony was great for keeping our drinks cold while we enjoyed the gorgeous view of the water and sunsets from our balcony lanai. The beds were very comfortable, the space was roomy with a classy and comfy design throughout. The shower also had nice pressure and lots of hot water.The air-conditioning worked well as did the fans. It took me 30 years to return to Hawaii and this place was a perfect location to spend a very relaxing month. The grounds were well kept up with a very nice pool area in addition to a sandy area under palm trees right next to the water where I could sit in a chair and watch the sunset. The outside grill area was clean and easy to use with tables to eat at as well. The manager on site was very pleasant and helpful. Having a designated parking spot was also a plus because we could come and go without worry about finding parking when we returned. My whole family loved staying here!

The rental unit was a 5/5. Clean, updated, A/C in both living room and bedroom worked well, had many kitchen and beach items, and the view from the lanai was wonderful. Property was also very well maintained. The caretaker was out every morning working on the property. Would totally stay here again!Knutson & Associates also a 5/5. Patiently answered my calls before renting, great at communicating about rental before arriving, checked in several times to ensure all was good while at unit, and promptly and professionally handled a couple issues. We have stayed at Kona Isle a number of times, and every time is great. C38 always brings a smile to our faces. The view from the lanai is awesome. The grounds are well kept. The pool is worth spending some time there. The grills are right on the ocean. A perfect spot to be to watch the sun set each night. We are already planning our next trip.

It was really nice to have an AC and big TVs in both the living room and bedroom. The queen bed was very comfortable. The bathroom towels and wash rags were very nice. It was great that they provided beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella, and other stuff. The lanai has a very nice view of the ocean. The condo has ceiling fans in the living room, bedroom, and bathroom. The condo was very clean! We would stay here again.

Really lovely rental property, right on the Ocean. Grounds were immaculate and well kept. The sound of waves and the scent of plumeria, fabulous sunsets. Absolute heaven. The management company were very attentive and accommodatung. The condo I stayed in had a tropical vibe and was comfortable with amazing views from the Lanai.
I have mixed feelings after our stay here. We enjoyed our stay overall but we probably wouldn’t stay here again.
The good:
- The view from the lanai is wonderful.
- Nice common areas. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for. The sandy area by the ocean was our favorite
- Good location. Walkable to town if you don’t mind a longer walk.
- The AC works well; with two units the bedroom stayed cool for sleeping.
- Assigned parking.
- Beach towels, chairs, and an umbrella provided.
- Management was very responsive whenever we had an issue.
The not so good:
- The biggest issue was the bugs in the kitchen. While I know bugs are common in Hawaii, this was the first time in any Hawaii rental unit that we’ve ever had an issue. Management did their best to respond but it unfortunately will probably take time to address. We kept all our food sealed and took out trash daily but still had significantly more bugs than we’ve ever had in a Hawaii rental.
- The unit could use a good deep clean. Management sent a cleaning crew back out at our request, but the whole unit really needs to be thoroughly dusted (things like doors and decor), insides of cabinets wiped down, and all the kitchen items gone through to ensure they are actually clean.
- Linens (especially the sheets) are worn out and need to be replaced.
- The kitchen has no consumables - only salt and pepper. No oil of any kind, no spices, no foil (we left some behind).

This condo is probably the best one in the complex (other than the direct waterfront buildings). It is situated on the corner with great views of ocean making it better than the other ones in either building B or C because you dont have to directly look across at the other units. The condo might have the best kitchen amenities of any condo we have stayed at in Kona. Well thought out for the vacationer with all the beach amenities you would need!
