Just as described. Beautiful view , walkable to many beaches , close to restaurants. Location made visiting points of interest on the island easy . Communication with host easy and timely. Would recommend .
We had the perfect accommodations for our trip. We loved the ocean view and enjoyed the pool. The condo is located in the perfect spot on the island. It was an easy walk to watch the sea turtles come in on Poipu Beach:

My wife and I were on our Honeymoon. It was our firat time visiting Kauai and we had a great time. This VRBO offered us a great location in Poipu. Its walking distance to Poipu beach where we spent a lot of time snorkeling and enjoying the weather. There were great views of the beach and sunset from the balcony. Everything was clean and well maintained. It was great for my wife and I. We even had an issue with our flights coming home and the property manager was quick to help us arrange an additional night to stay. We recommend this VRBO and would stay here again. Thank you for the great hospitality!

Exceptional property with great views. Kitchen was well stocked for in home cooking of every kind and the patio a great place for al fresco meals. Beach within walking distance as well as Brennekes Beach restaurant. Old Kolaa a short drive, Lihue about 30 minutes. Management company very responsive.
We had a wonderful time and it was the perfect location. The check in process and communication was great as well. An added bonus was access to the health club to work out and enjoy the beautiful pool - all within walking distance. The only thing that kept us from giving 5 stars was some basic supplies were not stocked for us (washing machine soap, paper towels, body lotion). If you're looking for a clean and no frills place to stay with an amazing view and location, this is it. We had a great time!

When we first arrived, we found laundry still in the washing machine. We put the laundry in the dryer and noticed that the dryer was vented into the bathroom making it hot and humid, even though the windows were all open fully. The temperature likely reached 90 degrees. We found a large fan and positioned it to push more air out the window.The bathroom was dirty and moldy. Venting into a bathroom encourages mold, and it’s a code violation. See photos of dirt/mold, venting, fan.We noticed that the sliding door did not lock. The welcome letter cautioned us to be sure to lock doors and windows when we left. I wrote to the manager, who wrote that was only for units on the ground floor, which was puzzling.The VRBO listing utilizes a visual which indicates that there is a gym on the premises. It also makes it seem that why you need to purchase the 25 a day gym membership is to use the pool, which is not true. When the listing has a gym logo, any user would take it that the gym was on the premises, not that it’s a ten-minute drive away, over a mile away. When I tried getting our 25 charge removed, the manager said simply that it was not refundable. We urge VRBO to investigate these misleading visuals and text. The entire property is very tired. The curtain valances are broken—the small wires holding them up are rusted away. The windows are not easy to open and close. The terrace furniture cushions were torn and frayed. See photos.

We have stayed at Sunset Kahlili several times, at various units. It is a wonderful location. The unit we rented was a great location, as always. However, the unit was not clean based on our expectations and the cleanliness of other units we have stayed in. Also, the rugs were old and appeared unclean, the towels were limited and in need of replacement. Improvement in cleanliness and some replacement of old fixtures will make this unit as nice a rental as the others in Sunset Kahlili.
Everything was as described including the spectacular view. We loved just sitting on the lanai enjoying the ocean view. Whale spotting was a highlight. Close to beaches and great trails along the coast.
The views were amazing from our balcony. We saw many whales and sea turtles from our unit.Comfortable bed and furniture! Highly recommend this unit!
Good views of the ocean/sunset. Good location, walking distance to beach.

This space was quite clean. The condo was centrally located allowing us to have some wonderful day excursions. Property manager was quick to respond to our calls/texts. Beautiful time and location
Best for a couple…or a couple of best friends who easily navigate a single bathroom (2 doors); a comfortable hide-away sofa/bed with two fans; and sliding panels to separate bedroom area which has an air-conditioning unit. We did have a rental car, as we were exploring the island this trip, and really appreciated it, as there are no neighborhood grocery stores and limited dining options in walking distance. Great beach chairs and well-stocked beach towels appreciated!
My husband and I stayed at this property last week, and it was perfect for us! The sunset view from the balcony is amazing! It’s a quick walk down to the beach where the sea turtles came up onto the beach every evening. We explored the entire island, and this was a great location for our home base. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking and having a washer and dryer was very helpful. The pool was clean and perfect when we needed to break from the beach. It was a very quiet complex, we did not hear any noises from neighbors. The living room furniture seemed brand new and looks very nice in the room. The bed was really comfortable as well. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Kauai in the future!
Clean, accommodating, cozy, captivating view. Kitchen was well supplied for cooking just about anything. Lanai as a tad overcrowded other outdoor furniture, took some rearranging for comfort, but not a big deal. Wonderful stay oils use again!

Our vacation rental was in a great location! The rental is not as portrayed in the pictures. The furniture is worn and dated. The orange chairs felt sticky and and had a slight distasteful odor. The cushions on the lanai were falling apart. All of the windows and louvers were moldy and dirty.The kitchen was clean and well stocked but the dishwasher smelled old. The refrigerator was clean. Overall for the price, I would rate it a three.
Excellent location. Excellent top floor view. We were there for 6 nights. Had good weather.

Unit was probably built in 60's, clean but not great for the price. Paying for athletic club was bogus.
Prop mgr, location and clean unit were great. We rated it 3 as the condo is tired. It’s in need of new furniture and updating. Couch, chairs and bed were not comfortable. The location, views and overall complex site were awesome. We would stay in the building again, but not this particular unit.
This property, our stay & the island of Kauai met & exceeded our expectation. The view & the sound of the waves were so relaxing. Sunsets beautiful. The location was steps from the beach, a lovely park & snacks. The condo itself included everything possible to imagine. All in all a perfect week/end. Only regret is we didn’t plan a longer stay. Next time.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It was great that there were beach chairs, an umbrella and a small cooler to use. An automatic ice maker and water dispenser in the fridge was great to have, along with a washer and dryer. When our key didn't work in the lock and we couldn't get in the unit, the response from the management company was very fast. The location was great. The elevator was always fast. Down sides: The unit could have been cleaner, the furniture was old and worn out and not very comfortable. There was no ceiling fan in the living room and the fan that was on the floor sometimes didn't work right. The standing fan in the bedroom was very dirty and rusty and often would only go on low speed. It really needs to be thrown away and replaced. The unit was very hot; we couldn't really feel much of an ocean breeze and fans that didn't work properly made it worse. It was even more hot when using the dryer because it appears to not be vented correctly--heat and lint from the dryer went into the bathroom.

We had a very good stay. The building is not new, but was well kept up. Had all of the amenities that we needed. It was very warm when we were there, and AC would have been nice, but not essential. When we go back to Kauai in the next year or so, I would stay in the same Condo if it were available. Really liked the 5th floor, and for our purposes, it was well located.
