    • 1 bedroom
    • 2 bathroom
    • Sleeps 6

An elegant, newly renovated, very private condo. . Nestled in the trees, it features a short jungle walk to a quiet, private beach & looks out to sparkling Hanelei Bay, lush gardens, soaring emerald mountains, Bali Hai. 1 HOTEL with 7 organic (3 gourmet and one Michelin level) restaurants IS a short walk away. Makai Golf Course is too. HBR offers so much you never have to get in a car - just a kayak. It is serene - yet close to beach trails, golf, tennis, restaurants, shopping and more.

ACCESS is a keycard from the front desk, open 24/7
The main bedroom has a king, a sitting area, a full bathroom, a lanai (with small dining table) and a private entrance. Separately, there is a large studio with a full Murphy Bed , a queen pull-out couch, its own lanai, a full bathroom, a side kitchen and a private entrance. Both spaces are private AND connect and have panoramic views. It is one flight up - on the second floor, a corner condo so very private. The resort offers beach towels and in our unlocked closet there are some beach chairs , a few water noodles , some sand toys for children and maybe one umbrella.
Parking is right beside the condo. The condo is a one to two minute walk to the pool and Happy Talk Bar, yet far enough away that it is completely quiet. The bar has lovely Hawaiian music several nights a week, which stops at 9:00 and if you close the condo doors, you cannot hear it.
1 HOTEL is a 10 minute walk, with fabulous restaurants for all meals at relatively reasonable rates. Check out their over-the-top pancakes for breakfast!
This is on the 2nd floor, up about a dozen steps. There is no elevator.
Please note: there is only a washing machine in the unit. Bathing suits can be dried on the lanai. There is a commercial washer/dryer about 70' away. We will reimburse you if you choose to use them.

PLEASE SEE RULES & POLICIES for RESORT & PARKING FEES One positive is that, in addition to giving you access to all their facilities, the fees allow you to arrive as early on your first day and stay as late on your last day as you like, essentially giving you almost two extra days at the resort

HOTEL ONE plans to open in February, a 10 minute walk or 3-minute drive from HBR. It will have 7 organic RESTAURANTS, three of them gourmet & 7 BARS.

If you come as a single, ask us for a $35.00 CREDIT/discount on the cleaning fee.
BEACH TOWELS at the front desk.
BEACH CHAIRS, BEACH UMBRELLA, BOOGIE BOARDS at the ...

Couldn’t ask for a better location or a better property. Working with the owner and the property before during and after was a breeze. The location couldn’t have been better! Easily the best place we’ve ever stayed on our multiple trips to Kauai.

This location is beautiful. The grounds are stunning and the restaurant was surprisingly good at reasonable prices. We had our water shut off twice and construction completed during our stay but overall good. The unit we were in also was obviously two separate units that are not trying to be one. Layouts awkward but slept the 5 of us.

The resort is pretty, serene and awesome. Views were great, although others definitely had better making me a little envious :). The pool and spa were the highlights for us. Walk to beach is better if you take a cart ride. Construction of neighboring hotel makes the beach experience less appealing but just scoot down the beach further and you’ll be ok. Take note there is a $12/day fee for parking with tax. Then a resort fee of $28 with tax. Close store (8mins) for all groceries and needs. We enjoyed the privacy the split condo gave us from teens. Nice on-site restaurant w live band. You will hear music from patio but not inside. Parking can be tough at night. Tough and maybe a bit unreasonable “No Sand in condo or else” rule. Signage that reminds you of possible fees if sand is found and if towels are damaged, kinda kills the Aloha vibe. I am not comfortable stripping outside to get all the sand off every crevice on my body lol. So I found myself sweeping a lot and more nervous and paranoid than I should be when on vacation. Condo was very clean and came equipped with 2 boogie boards, snorkel and fins, beach chairs and umbrella, cooler, and very nice shampoo conditioner and soap, and welcome gift of fruit. Very thoughtful! Tip: ask front desk for 10% coupon to grocery store. Suggestions for owner: stocked paper towels and tp, dryer seemed to struggle to dry our loads and ended up giving clothes that moldy smell, umbrella base and can opener was broken (we replaced base with one we found), add a good kitchen knife, foil/Saran wrap, and dryer sheets. Loved it and would recommend to everyone!

Our second time staying at Hanalei Bay Resort, this was our first time VRBO stay. We really like the location of this place. It’s close to the parking and the pool. The condo looks over the pool, onto Hanalei Bay, and the Mountains. You can even see waterfalls in the distance. Washer/dryer is convenient, since we were out there a little over a week; we hopped over from the Big Island. Full kitchen is nice since there is not many restaurants directly around, except if you go down into Hanalei (which you should). Grocery is near. No pool bar or bar on site, so bring you own (less expensive anyways). Great pool with great views and sunset. You can walk to the beach, it’s a nice walk through the property, they can take you on a golf cart there as well. There’s construction to the old St. Regis, or now Hotel 1 (where we stayed for our honeymoon), directly south of HBR, it’s not a big deal though. Heads up, we did have to pay a resort fee for our stay. Overall, book this place if you want to stay in Princeville/ Hanalei!

I LOVED our stay here. This place is magical - inside and out. The panorama is fantastic, the beach, about a 12-minute walk or free golf-cart ride, is peaceful and exquisite, the apartment is very well-maintained, bright and airy. And the pool is as good as it gets. We look forward to returning.
