This was a great property for a family of four to use as a base for exploring Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The location was close by and we were able to easily come back for lunch. The property itself is comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen and spacious living room and bathroom. The fold-down futon might be small for an adult but it was the perfect size for smaller kids. I would definitely stay here again!

Pro: SUPER close to the entrance of Hawaii National Volcano Park, which was our reason for renting this property.
Con: The description of the property does include that there is a “shared deck”, but it doesn’t state how close the units actually are. Both units have multiple windows that face the shared deck, meaning you can see into each others units. Only 1 of 4 windows along that entire wall have blinds. The shared deck also allowed for the other renters to stand directly outside of our unit and look into our windows. Blinds on the other windows would help this issue TREMENDOUSLY.

The cabin was cute, warm and useful, however the hot tub jets were broken.
