We truly enjoyed our stay in Lihue. The view from the room is breathtaking! Beds are very comfortable. The food on the resort was very good. Only downside is you can’t swim in the ocean off of this property and you have to drive or take an uber anywhere you want to go. Not much close. Coconut market was a 10-15 minute drive and there were lots of shops and places to eat.
We had a wonderful time at this beachfront condo in Kauai. The place was super clean and had amazing sunrise view. Waking up to the ocean each morning was a dream. The property itself is beautiful, with friendly staff, on-site restaurants, and even a Starbucks, which was a nice bonus.The location couldn’t have been better, right in the middle of the island, so it was easy to explore both the north and south shores. It really felt like the perfect home base for our trip. Would definitely stay here again!
This room was better than we could have imagined. Perfect for our 10 day stay. Lots of extras included (beach chairs, boogie boards, small cooler, good sized refrigerator). Amazing view and the food and entertainment were top notch. Will stay here again for sure!
This condo was above and beyond our expectations. Spacious, clean, beautiful pool with waterfalls, restaurant with live band every night. But the most amazing part was watching the sunrise every morning and having the ocean steps from our balcony. So glad we chose this rental over those that were not oceanfront - worth every penny!!
Our stay at this oceanfront VRBO in Kauai was absolutely incredible! Waking up to breathtaking sunrises from the balcony each morning was a dream, and we were lucky enough to watch whales jumping just offshore most days. The condo was centrally located within a beautiful resort, making it easy to explore the island while still enjoying top-notch amenities. It was truly the perfect place to relax and take in the natural beauty of Kauai!
Loved this property and the resort. This unit is ocean facing with a great view from the lanai. We loved having our coffee out there in the mornings. The pools are beautiful and the location of the property is perfect. Loved the beach items for use as well!
Seeing the sunrise unobstructed every morning from the balcony was just such an amazing experience.The best part was that we saw whales from the balcony twice!!! You cannot beat the location and the host is a gem! Thank you for having us!
We had a really good experience staying at the Outrigger Kauai Resort. The resort had nice pools, hot tubs, restaurants, bars, and a café gift shop. It was also really nice to walk out to the beach to watch sunrises and sunsets. The resort location was close to almost everything we wanted to do. The room was clean and functional with a great view from the lanai.
Love this place and would definitely stay again! The sunrise is glorious from the lanai! The location is central and convenient but you do need a car. Staff here are super helpful. Some remodel going on but it was never an issue.
We had a great stay at this resort. Beautiful room. Clean and comfortable. It did lack in some small amenities like silverware, but for our short stay we managed. Would highly suggest.

Two beds, it would have been nice to have a queen or king bed instead. Room itself is small and outdated. The resort has a parking lot but charges $32.00 a day, should be free for guests. Beach is not swimmer friendly very rough conditions. Pool better option. Overall had a good time. Host Crystal was very helpful and a pleasure to talk to.

The view was awesome! The resort is beautiful! Centrally located between great beaches and activities. The owner was very easy and accommodating. The unit could use a little TLC especially the mattresses. Other than an uncomfortable night’s sleep it was great!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Kauai Beach Resort. There were were some pros and cons, but you have to approach any Hawaiian vacation, especially one on Kauai with the viewpoint that you are on a vacation in a tropical location on one of the most isolated islands in the world. Things are slower here, and that’s just how it should be.
Pros: The view from the room is incredible, the resort has plenty of pools, never had to fight to find a chair at the pool, restaurant on resort had great breakfast, resort had live music and fun activities during the day at the pool, nice beach for walking, new linens and pillows, room was quiet at night, majority of guests were very down to earth and fun people!
Cons: Room is dated and has few drawers (basically, it’s a hotel room from the 90’s), some resort maintenance was waiting on parts from mainland (two of the five pools had issues during our stay and were caution taped closed), the tiki torches and outdoor fireplace was only lit one night during our stay due to assumed natural gas problems.
Overall, the pros waaayy overpowered the cons, especially at this price point during peak season.
If you are looking for the best view in Kauai at a reasonable price, stay here!

Amazing view of the ocean with a nice breeze and spectacular sunrises. Only ate at the once in the restaurant (breakfast) which was delicious, regret not having dinner. Staff friendly and helpful. Air conditioning was great, keeping the room nice and cool - just the way I like it. Would rent again if ever here again.

We really enjoyed our time at this property. The grounds were beautiful and the view from the room was amazing. The only downfall was the beds were really small. They were twin beds but they didn't even feel that big. It made it difficult to sleep 4 in the room. I assumed a 2 bed room would be queens as there was plenty of room to do so. Otherwise this was a great property and a great experience.
We had seen comments that the room need updating, and boy were they right. The housekeeping staff did a good job, but the carpet and walls are very worn, dirty, and nicked up. There is dry wall/plaster missing from corners and other places on wall had a lack of repair or messy repair jobs. There are electrical outlets scattered about the room that are hard to get to or where no furniture is to plug in phones, iPads, etc. We had to use luggage as a table, as there is only one nightstand in-between the two beds. The safe was non-functional. When we called the owner, we were told it was on backorder. The bathroom did not have plugs above the counter where you could have charged a phone, they were by the bathroom door. Bathroom had no stopper in the sink. Tile had been replaced, but outdated. Looked like the original bathroom configuration, which was not convenient. Had only lukewarm water for some showers. You do have an ocean view, but with having that, it is a very long walk to the restaurant and bar and parking. We don’t mind that usually, but 5 out of 7 days we had 20-30 mph sustained winds with gusts to 50 and of course, frequent rain. Food was very good, grounds beautiful and kept up nicely. One of the two hot tubs smelled like sewage, so we avoided that. It was way too cool and windy to enjoy the pool until our last day.
We didn’t even need to rent a car! The number of beautiful pools plus a walkable ( if not seimmanle) beach and delicious food kept us happy and relaxed with no desire to go elsewhere service was impeccable
Other than the rain every day the trip was pretty good, loved our unit the best view of the grounds Million dollar view. The resort needs to put more options on their menus same food in all the restaurants. The only other thing would like to see a microwave in the room.
Can’t beat the balcony views!!!
The resort was ok. Not a lot of dining options. And the menu was the same at every place. And not of options close by. But overall the actual resort was nice.. the employees were very nice.
