Overall, we were happy with our stay. The biggest issue was upon arrival...the door was open and ajar. It was quite scary having to go in and look around and make sure there was no intruder hiding anywhere. Towards the end of the stay, we realized that the door would open, even if we typed in slightly different numbers on the code pad...
We enjoyed the convenience of the location near downtown Kailua Kona, and beaches he could walk to. The cooking facilities in the unit were also very nice would allow us to prepare meals for ourselves rather than dining out.
Location was amazing - condo was a bit dated.
We liked the location to the rest of our family
We did not like the shower that did not drain so there was always about two inches of standing water in it.
Overall our stay was great. The property manager was prompt to respond to any questions we had. Bring your own coffee and filters.

Right in the center of the west coast of the big island
Well equipped & clean self catering unit perfect for a couple
Great location, easy check in. Small but nice pool & outdoor rec/picnic area, with great sunset view. Quiet & secure.
The location and view of ocean was great and the price was good as well.

Overall pleased with the property and amenities. The location was ideal for our vacation plans close to Kailua-Kona.
Pros:
* Great location to Kailua-Kona (about a 1 mile)
* Easy entry / secure
* Pool
* Balcony
* Parking spot included
* Good Kitchen - Fridge / Oven / Stove / Microwave / Dishes / Utensils / and more
Points to consider:
* The property is along Alii Drive and the front door faces street. There is some street noise.
* The unit is on the second floor.
* There is one bedroom that can be closed off with sliding doors. There is a pull out sofa bed.
* The air conditioner is a wall unit with a timer.
Very clean and cozy! A little noisy at times due to the road, but other than that it was wonderful:)
Not great overall, lots of little issues that added up to a disappointing stay. Location near Kailua was the best part. The apartment complex and apartment itself was pretty run down. We still had a great time but would not stay again.
Cons:
- NO WIFI - seriously, in 2022 the location does not have internet. There is cable but again, it's 2022... this was not clearly mentioned in the listing AT ALL.
- Missing amenities - No hairdryer (pretty basic) and no basic beach stuff (e.g. chairs) that we have experienced in past rentals in Hawaii. We had towels but that's it.
- Run down apartment - blinds were broken, doors didn't work/open, air conditioner timer didn't work, toilet was hard to flush, broken hooks, furniture all looked like it's from the 80s etc... overall just pretty shabby. needs a renovation.
- Ants - the whole place has an ant problem. Dropped a single crumb and had a swarm of ants.
- View - you look out to the other apartments and everyone can see in. This is even more of an issue because the blinds were broken. The front view was directly out to the street, and the back view was out to a staircase and the roof of a neighboring building. It's worth mentioning the sound of traffic and a garbage truck we heard each morning.
- Residents - Chain smokers sit by the entrance all day. Not great to have to walk through a cloud of smoke to get back to the apartment.
PROs:
- Location was great. Walkable to town.
- Kitchen - good space for a small rental and lots of kitchen tools.
- Pool - best view in the place.
We planned to utilize this space to work part-time remotely while experiencing Hawaii and leaving colder climate. Unfortunately, this rental barely allowed us to do this for reasons we didn't even think were possible (most notably, lack of internet - we had to bum the wifi password from some friendly neighbors). If you are spending the majority of your time exploring Hawaii and are just looking for a bare minimum place to just crash every night, this place will get the job done. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and up the budget for a better place.
nice walking distance to the town and a good pool/ocean area. Unit is nice and tidy.
