I fell in love with this heavenly place so deeply , that I decided to buy an apartment here. Newly refreshed September 2021. Welcome to my charming Kaua'i home. From the walkway in front of my lanai, which overlooks the pools and has an ocean view, it is 150 paces to the sand of the beach.

The location is mesmerizing. A short 2 1/2mile drive from the airport, you turn 'makai', ocean side, through a quarter mile arched arbor of banyan trees and enter the oceanfront world of the Kaua'i Beach Resort, a richly remodeled 4 star resort.

Here are just a few of its wonderful features:

*A priceless view of clouds and waves as they roll in from the ocean.

*Spectacular sunrise and pacific moon rise daily from your lanai.

*Simmons Beautyrest King firm mattress with motorized adjusting platform. High end cotton or Cariloha bamboo sheets.

*Full bathroom appointed with travertine stone and granite top vanity.

*LG 42" TV with local and expanded cable channels.

*Magic Chef refrigerator 4.5 cu.ft., for your vegetables, fruits, beverages and ice cream.

*Tommy Bahama folding beach chairs and cooler for day trips.

*In-room safe, ironing board and iron.

And so much more… but its really all about the view!

Resort use and access amenities include:

Resort pool towels and identifiers allowing you access to: the sand bottom beachfront pool, supervised 75' corkscrew pool slide, swimming pools with waterfall features, a water volleyball pool, two heated spas in grotto areas, outdoor tiki bar and lounge and, of course, access to a 3 mile sand beach and ocean.

Access to the resort's restaurants, bar and lounge, beauty spa, hair salon, workout room and gym, high speed wi-fi internet access throughout the resort and your apartment, a sundries and convenience store with a Starbucks franchise and ATM, a desktop computer access business center (if you must), concierge services for resort and island dining and excursions and tour reservations. (Strongly suggested! You must have reservations for the popular restaurants and tours available on the island).

    For Clarity:

A Resort fee for front desk services and enhanced security services of $105 per stay is added to your payment to VRBO.

If you love an ocean view, listening to the sound of the ocean waves, and relaxing by a gorgeous pool at an excellent price, then this is the place for you! I give this property five stars for the unit and five stars for the location! The room is spacious and comfortable. I loved having a fridge/freezer. I was able to save money to spend on treats and activities by shopping and dining on the lanai most days. The bed was super comfortable. It was nice to have a lounge chair for reading and/or watching TV. But I never watched TV because I would sit on the lanai and watch the ocean! The resort staff was friendly and helpful. There is a free yoga on the grassy area fronting the beach each morning. Such a great way to start the day! This location is perfect. You can access activities on the North, South, and West shores within 30 - 60 minutes. Make sure you visit Smith's Tropical Gardens. You can also attend their luau show without having to pay for the dinner. The 8 minute drive is very convenient for driving home after a late evening event. Best swimmable beaches with decent snorkeling close by are Lydgate and Kalapaki - also about an 8 minute drive. The beach that fronts the resort is gorgeous but not swimmable. However, it's glorious to take a morning walk and watch the sunrise. Make sure to walk south until you get to a sweet little cove - very private. Harold, the owner, was super responsive and offered many suggestions for a great Kauai vacation. Thanks Harold for sharing!

Harold was an awesome host and was available any time we had questions. He had everything we needed from beach towels to ice chests plus dinner recommendations. The resort dining at Shutter’s was a bust though-

An older property and the grounds are well taken care of. It is off the beaten path so no walking to shops or coffee, you must drive everywhere. You are right on a lovely, but non swimmable beach. Pools are great and service is great. Room is small, but clean. New towels are needed for both room and for the pool, they are very worn and dated. Biggest obstacle which is minor was where to hang bath towels. No hooks or towel bars, we used pant hangers and hung them on the shower rod but the metal clips were rusted making it difficult. This is a very nice property and very reasonable. Restaurants and pool bar service terrific.

My Husband and I stayed for our honeymoon and it was the best place I’ve ever stayed! Everyone was so nice on the property, you can walk right down to the beach, there are two hot tubs which we used daily, and a couple pools. The food was decent, but our favorite was breakfast everyday, sooooo yummy!! Our host was amazing, there for any questions I needed!! The room was very clean, you can see the ocean from the lanai which I loved. There is a pretty big fridge which was amazing, and there was coffee creamer and sugar provided!! The bed was also extremely comfortable and we slept great. We have already been discussing a trip back. Thank you so much! 💓
