This condo was PERFECT!!! Such a great place to stay for our family vacation with our two boys!!! Maui is gorgeous! The Honua Kai is very conveniently located! Lots of great beaches, restaurants and attractions nearby!

The room was clean and the host messaged a list of close instructions. The sink was leaking and the freezer door wouldn’t stick properly so all the ice melted overnight. But overall everything was great and was well equipped for your convenience. Bed was a bit uncomfortable but sheets were soft and the room smelled clean and looks like it’s well maintained.

We recently stayed here for our summer vacation with two small kids. We had a great time and this property was perfect for our family! The check in process was super easy, and the unit had everything we could ask for, even coffee, a nice sofa bed, and beach chairs/umbrella! It was spacious and had a nice patio with a partial view of the ocean. We had a kitchen which made it easier for us to cook breakfast and prepare lunch for days at the pool and beach. We also love the pools and the fact that the beach is right in front of the property and literally a short walk away. I highly recommend staying in this unit, and we will definitely be back next year!

I helped my father book this condo as he was traveling with my family (myself, husband and three children) who were also staying in the same hotel. The hotel was beautiful, the staff lovely, the pools SO much fun, the check in/out process easy, but the greatest part? There is the most incredible snorkeling at the beach directly in front of the hotel. We saw countless tropical fish and sea turtles! We will definitely stay here again as soon as possible.

The Honua Kai Resort is on one of the most beautiful beaches. The beach was absolutely stunning and we spent so much time enjoying the ocean and sunsets. My husband and I were travelling with our two teens.
I think the resort itself is more suited towards young kids. Being that we had teens though, it wasn’t quite the right vibe. Great vibe for young families!
The room was cozy, it had decent space for the size of our family.
One of my favourite parts about being away is sitting on the patio and having a coffee in the morning. The room had a gorgeous view of the mountain and sunrise. Unfortunately the resort is situated close to the highway and the room is facing towards the highway so it was quite noisy from the cars and traffic. Definitely more of a personal preference and probably wouldn’t bother most people.
Unfortunately the dryer didn’t really work. :( in fact on the last day we washed our clothing in preparation to travel home- the dryer didn’t work and our clothes were sopping wet, we were in a bit of a panic trying to get our clothes dried in time to leave.
Some things that would make the stay more comfortable would be
- more than one place to dry towels
- a drying rack on the deck
- a mirror in the bedroom/ space to get ready
Some of the included outdoor supplies like the backpack and chairs could use a good cleaning in between guests and possible replacements.
Overall a nice place to stay and good price.

This condo was perfect for our family of 4. The unit was clean and contained all the essentials needed. The resort grounds were also great. The waterslide was a huge hit with our kiddos. Communications with the management team was quick and informative. I would highly recommend this property. Aloha!

Its clean and well taken care of.
I would say it’s the perfect place to chill, all of our group said how relaxed they felt. Ocean View was excellent for Whale watching.
More loungers at pool would be a bonus
