Opakapaka Bar and Grill is just across the parking lot, as is the Hanalei Day Spa if you're looking to pamper yourself. Just a few minutes past the charming town of Hanalei, you'll find that shopping and dining options are conveniently close. It's the perfect Kauai vacation rental for proposals, honeymoons, anniversaries, and other romantic occasions.

This downstairs corner condo has a lovely ocean view and it takes just moments to walk across the grass and onto the sand. You'll enjoy the large shady lanai and peaceful sounds of the surf. There is one bedroom, furnished with a king bed. For privacy, it can be closed off from the rest of the unit with sliding shoji screens which still allow air flow to keep you cool at night. A second bedroom is furnished with a day bed, giving you the option to sleep an additional person You can use the room as a home office if it's a working vacation for two. It also has sliding shoji screens for visual privacy. The living and dining areas are comfortably furnished and there are dramatic ocean views from each of the large picture windows. You won't mind cooking in the efficient, open kitchen which has everything you need to prepare simple home-cooked meals or serve up your take-out with style. While there are no televisions in the apartments, wifi is provided so you won't be completely cut off from the modern world. (Only as cut off as you wish to be.) Hanalei Colony Resort E1 is a Kauai vacation rentals stand-out!

As a guest at a privately managed unit in the resort, you are invited to make full use of all of the facilities such as swimming pool, jacuzzi, barbecue area, and guest laundry room. Certain services provided by the resort staff are not available to private renters, such as the towel exchange window, and the resort shuttle.

As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned.

Although this home has internet, the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party.

One of the most beautiful places I have visited that still feels like a step back in time. The resort is perfect with the beach right at your feet and the beautiful lanai to enjoy your breakfast or a glass of wine. The pool and hot tub is surrounded by beautiful gardens. If you want to relax and find yourself this could be the place for you. It is decorated with the island flare and very cozy to call this place home for however long you stay. Go and see for yourself!

Early March, one week stay. Just myself and wife. Everything was excellent, though perhaps a bit dated. We definitely enjoyed our stay. Quiet, peaceful, a bit out of the way, but right next to beach. Restaurant next door. The gift and coffee shop had the best coffee drinks. Parking was very convenient, and there were hand carts to move luggage.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I love this beautiful spot in Hanalei. This is my second visit to this condo and my stay was wonderful. There are just a few things that I think could be improved, however. Stove should be replaced as the burners are a problem and it is old. Make sure lights and fans are working properly. Have glass cleaner available for table.

We could just walk right out to enjoy a beach walk, sit in the evening with our baby monitor and enjoy the view and sound of crashing waves under the stars. It was so relaxing staying in a more remote and secluded area. We could easily drive to awesome beaches and stay for the day. Good communication and friendly hosts. Great place to stay. I highly recommend it!
