The view and size of the apartment were great but the apartment needs a lot of improvements. The view was great but you can’t enjoy it because you have to keep the blinds shut at all times due to the weak AC. During the days even with the AC set to 68/70 the apartment was 74 on a cool day but 76 on an average day. It was as if there was no AC at all. At night it would be 71/72 even with the AC running. They did provide a floor fan but even with that running in the bedroom, along with the ceiling fan, we would wake up sweating. The hot water would run out very quickly and if you like very hot showers especially after a long day of traveling you will not get it. There were large stains on the carpet and bugs EVERYWHERE, during our stay I killed around 4 bugs a day (we were there for 8 days). The apartment is quite outdated with a lot of damage especially near the bathroom. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the memory foam pillow was great, I wish I took a picture of the brand of pillow because that was the best sleep I had in a very long time. The pool was very nice and warm, I saw them clean it every morning as well as the grills, they also hose down the tile around the pool daily and remove any leaves that have fallen. There is easy access to the beach and also a very nice grass section with pool chairs to the right of the pool that allows for private and quiet tanning and relaxation. The parking is easy and convenient and the staff were incredibly polite.

Great location, great apartment, like new kitchen, all was very clean. Maintenance crew was definitely substandard. Toilet seat was broken and removed when we arrived and maintenance worker was on site without necessary tools or parts to fix it. After several texts to insist the problem (No toilet seat) be fixed immediately a second repair man came with proper tools but not the necessary parts. He did provide us with a seat the was also broken (cracked seat) and told us he would return the next day with a new seat. That didn’t happen until I complained that it still wasn’t fixed. Management thought the seat had been replaced. 24 hours after check in we finally had a toilet we could sit on. Nice place, extremely poor management. I should ask for one night’s refund.

The condo was very nice. But the A/C didn’t work for the first few days. And it was listed as having a microwave but there wasn’t one. They told me they would deliver one during our stay but they never did. And the shower broke due to age (the plastic cracked and sprayed water out randomly) so I had to fix it. Would have been nice if they gave me a discount. But when I told them they never brought a microwave they stoooed responding after that. Disappointing. But the place was cheap and decent, and I would stay stay there again for the price.

The property and condo are wonderful. I loved the layout of this condo which gives both the bedroom and living room an oceanview! The condo was large and seemed updated. The swimming pool was very warm which was a nice surprise and there was easy access to the beach and ocean.
The condo had been cleaned but we saw 10+ cockroaches in the 3 days we were there. I understand it’s a tropical environment but this was my 3rd visit to West Maui (specifically Napili-Honokowai) this year and it was the first time I encountered cockroaches inside of my living space :( One in the bedroom, several in the living room/kitchen and three in the bathroom. Perhaps try some diatomaceous earth, traps, anything?
Also good to note, parking costs $10/day+tax when you get your parking pass from the front desk.

I’d like to start by saying WOW! The view from this 4th floor balcony is awesome. We were able to sleep with the windows open as Hawaii does stay rather warm during the nighttime. Parking was easy. Everyone at the Royal Khana is very nice. I would recommend this to anyone who likes having extra space. I’ll consider booking again on my next trip.

The property was exactly like all the pictures. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony and the sound of the ocean . The rainbows were beautiful. Spying a turtle or turtles daily was the best!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Royal Kahana. The grounds and pool area were beautiful. The unit was great. It had everything we needed. And the view! Amazing! The only thing we really would have liked to have had was a screen in the bedroom window. The breezes were wonderful so there was no need for air conditioning. We will definitely stay there again should we head back to Maui. Aloha!

Right after checking in, we realized there was a major water leak from the condo above. The air conditioning didn’t work. The carpet had junk all over it ( it needed vacuumed). I made contact with the numbers given to me and the next day we were moved to an up graded condo north of this one. I can’t give this condo a good rating due to these problems. I guess what disappointed me most was I had emailed in advance about the status of the air conditioning and was assured it was fixed. It was not fixed.
