Love The Shores, and this unit is great for a couple get away. Very quite area of Waikoloa Beach. Not really ocean front, but you do have a view from the lanai. Only comment would be access to buggy boards, bikes, and other sports gear. As stated not much in cooking supplies, but I think this has more to do with reaction to Covid, than stocking, so buy your salt and pepper. Hope this turns some VRBOers off so we can always get the unit.

the condo at The Shores has been great. Clean and comfortable. the toilet in the guest bathroom does run for no apparent reason. Other than that it has been a great stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our third visit to this particular unit. Its location is appealing to us as it is somewhat isolated from the busy areas of WBV. It’s a very spacious unit and always neat and clean when we arrive. We were very pleased with the updated bed. However the unit is dated and could use some upgrades. The toilet in the half bathroom needs maintenance and the freezer side of the refrigerator has limited access, due to the adjacent wall. It would be nice if beach chairs and an umbrella were available for use. Except for the steep rise in rental rates over the last few years we were generally happy with our stay. Thanks, Carl

This condo could be great. Nice location, very spacious, large lanai with really pleasing views over the golf course to the ocean in the distance, even a peak at Mauna Kea from the other side of the lanai. But the kitchen is not in great condition ( the cabinets are gross inside) and it is poorly outfitted for anyone hoping to do any cooking or even nicely serving a meal brought in. The only wine glasses are plastic and there aren’t many dishes, pots/pans or utensils; not to mention virtually nothing nice for serving or even decent placemats to use on the table on the lanai. Sadly, the decor is really lacking as well, very generic. We stayed in an identical unit several years ago and it was stunning. The pool & spa are nice, although they close on the early side. We had a good stay but this unit is nothing special.
