The Kona Ali'i is the best location in Kailu-Kona. It's an easy walk to anywhere the village and the view from this ocean front unit are amazing and always changing.
The view and location simply cannot be beat! I had every meal out on the lanai, watched every sunset, and loved hearing the ocean crash on the rocks. The people-watching was also first rate as it's on the main Village of Kailua drag with lots of restaurants and shops.Having a designated parking space in the parking structure was incredibly helpful. I greatly appreciated the security features in terms of needing a key to even get to the elevator. I felt safe.The only ding I would have would be the fact that it seemed pretty run down and perhaps not the cleanest of places. However, the kitchen appliances were all new, the ceiling fans worked well and were clean, and the living room was also clean and modern. All in all, it was a great vacation location and if I can, I will definitely be returning.
The best vacation we had in 18 years!! The place we stayed was clean and beautiful....the perfect location! This was a trip we planned for our sons birthday and everything was so awesome and amazing....we didn't want to leave. We definitely plan on coming back soon
Great views and very convenient everything downtown Kailua has to offer.
No a/c. Stuffy, hot. Few angry homeless yelling profanity constantly nearby. The washer/dryer were very nice to have. Two dozen roaches exterminated by myself. But, the view was astonishing! We ended up going to a different property. Didnt use the kitchen due to the roaches I found in the drawers. The location was a big plus. We will not return to this property.
Enjoyed our stay! The condo was lovely and had everything we needed to make our meals which we ate on the lanai. The bed was comfortable. We appreciated using the beach chairs and beach towels! We left the lanai slider open and our bedroom window open for a nice island breeze at night! So many things within walking distance but we did rent a car and explored almost the whole island! Hilo is an easy day trip. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay and loved the view from the lanai - our favorite place! The waves, people watching, shops and restaurants within walking distance made it perfect! Unit was clean, very comfortable and quiet. Had everything we needed and more - nice surprise! Great not to have to eat all meals in a restaurant. Location had easy access to sightseeing and all activities in the area.
