We enjoyed our stay at coconut Grove. It is walking distance 15-25 minutes to down town Kailua and to the beach park. The unit is really cute with a bohemian vibe. Despite being on a busy street the backyard is private and we enjoyed many evenings (even when it was raining) on the back porch. It is comfortable and has a great little kitchen to cook lots of great local foods from the nearby grocery store.
The few issues (and there weren’t many) was that. The laundry area was full of towels and sheets and some of them in bags just left outside. The shower handle was broken, but we could jiggle it to get right temperature. The address first given to us were from the units down the street so we got a bit lost. The parking is limited and you need to be extremely careful backing out onto busy street. The checkin was a breeze and it was a great accommodation overall while staying in Kailua. This house is in walking distance to many shops and restaurants! You can walk to the beaches or drive quickly.
There is a nice patio with lights to hang out around.
The property owner was really responsive to all our inquiries.
The kitchen is really nice and well equipped for cooking meals! Unfortunately the ice and water on the fridge aren’t hooked up.
There is ac in the living room and a comfortable couch. There is also ac in the main bedroom.
The other room and bathroom get extremely hot even with fans.
The bathroom doesn’t get much ventilation and doesn’t have a fan so we had to dry our towels around the house.
Like other reviews this house is rough around the edges. For example, we had to screw on the shower handle so it would turn on and off. The shower has a rain shower head but it’s coming from a visible hole in the sealing. There are screws protruding from some of the doors. The front door does not seal properly or stay closed unless it’s locked.
Overall though we enjoyed our stay and the house is nice with a kind owner.

The host responded immediately to any problems and resolved them successfully, the bungalow is very nice, needs a little maintainment. We would definitely come back. Mahalo

This unit is in a great location, but it is tired. It appears that is was once cared for but is lacking right now. The linens are pitiful. The listing discusses laundry available, not the case when we were there. So many things stuffed everywhere.
