After our arrival on New Year’s Eve, we determined that the lock to the front door was not functioning properly. We contacted the agency, but was told that a service man would not be able to come out until the following day. Therefore, we were unable to leave the unit on New Year’s Eve as originally planned. The kitchen is poorly stocked. A total of four forks and four knives are not enough for a family of four. Salt and pepper shakers have been standard anywhere else we have stayed, yet these types of basics were not provided. No oil. No spices. We could not find a vegetable peeler. Coffee mugs are very small. The coffee maker is cheap and the lid is broken. Plates are mismatched and plain cheap. The seal around the fridge is broken and we had to toss all of our food. We noticed this a couple of days before leaving. Seating in the living room area is sparse- needs an armchair. Pull out sofa only sleeps one. Bathroom is tiny. A condo in this price category should not have had this many issues and shortcomings.

The condo location was amazing! The only complaints I have is it says it sleep four and they only stock for two, two beach towels, two beach chairs, etc. The couch that is a sofa sleeper is extremely uncomfortable, it is hard as a rock. Lastly, there is laundry machines that take quarters, but they do not have a quarter machine. It took an act of congress to find quarters, so bring your own quarters. We would definitely stay there again, we would just pack accordingly.

We loved staying at Polynesian Shores. We rented two condos for extended family and it was the best time. The grounds were impeccable, we snorkeled with sea turtles in front of the building, spent hours in the pool and hot tub, and found the whole process of renting the space, contacting the host and checking in and out simple. Highly recommend staying in this building.

My 13 year old daughter and I visited Maui July 11 - July 19 2022. This was our 5th time visiting the island and this was by far the nicest property we have stayed at so far. The grounds are gorgeous and very clean. The unit was clean and so cute. The view took our breath away as soon as we opened the door. Everything was perfect. The bed was super comfy! The kitchen is very functional. The bathroom is very nice. The only thing that could have made our stay better was if the unit had AC. The unit gets great airflow by leaving the windows and doors open but Maui gets pretty warm in the summer so it was a little warm at times. I’m from Vegas so a bit of an AC snob. We turn the AC on at the first sign of any heat! Haha Not a deal breaker though. Would definitely stay here again!

No curtains in bedroom, string holding curtains for lanai door and windows, filthy ceiling fans, greasy outside one side of the refrigerator, no comfortable chairs outside or inside, dishwasher falling apart, only the most rudimentary kitchen equipment… BUT… on the plus side, the sun felt nice and warm.

10/10, we would stay here again in a heartbeat. The community is in a great location with an unbeatable view for sunset. The pool and hot tube were great with a lot of friendly people. The unit was recently renovated it seems and it was comfortable. The kitchen was also very nice looking although we only really used the refrigerator. The view would sell the place itself.
