Enjoy Sensational Panoramic views of Maui’s North Shore, Central Valley and South Shore. Our clean, cozy well-appointed Studio is quiet and private below the Main House. All amenities are High Quality: Cal King Size memory foam bed with 100% cotton linens, real Down Pillows, 55” TV, Fast Internet, and Full Kitchen. Enjoy the sunset from your lanai while lounging in our king size Hammock. Beach chairs, Towels and Cooler provided.

Please note that we live upstairs. You will hear normal movement and sounds. We are early to bed, early to rise and do our best to be mindful. If you require complete silence, our property isn’t a good fit for you. We have close to 40 reviews on AirBnB and not one mentions noise.

Please note that car rentals are in high demand and we highly recommend you book your car rental as soon as possible.

Also, please be aware Governor David Ige signed Senate Bill 2571 into law, making Hawaii the first place in the world to ban “the sale, offer of sale, and distribution of sunscreens that contain the chemicals oxybenzone and octinoxate” after many studies showed that those two chemicals cause genetic damage to marine life, including coral reefs.

Wow! The photos do not do this place justice! The views are spectacular, and our favourite activity was sitting on the porch with our coffee listening to the birds. Lala and Randy were amazing hosts, so warm and welcoming. Even Wilson, the world’s friendliest dog came down every morning to “check in” and make sure we had a fabulous morning. There are so many little touches, we felt at home as soon as we arrived. The area is fantastic as well, you are out of the busy tourist areas, but really close to everything. Our only issue with our stay is that we didn’t book for longer! We are already planning a trip back.

This was a perfect start to our Maui vacation! I have stayed on the west side before, but wanted to explore the north central and east area. It was great that atter a long flight, it only took us 15 minutes to get there and a Safeway grocery was on the way (highway 36) to grap a few items. Directions provided for entrance into the property was great. The only reason I listed the location and neighborhood as 4 stars is because it the neighborhood is older, however their property is tucked in the back and was beautiful! It’s a peaceful and amazing piece of land with an incredible vibe and view. I felt safe. Super clean and comfy. I feel asleep on the hammock one night which was amazing. Sunset is gorgeous. Wilson the dog is a sweet pup. Lala and Randy were very kind, thoughtful, and friendly. We took a tour to Hana to explore the east side and this location shaves an hour off your time from the west coast. Highly recommend the Sugar Shack! Mahalo Lala, Randy, and Wilson! It was an absolute pleasure staying at your beautiful home and property!

We loved the location. Close to all the things we wanted to see and do. Randy was super helpful telling us about the area. The property was well equipped. We became best friends with Wilson within minutes of our arrival.

I enjoyed so much staying at sugar shack. It is a quite, wonderful little paradiese. The view to the mountains and the ocean is very special. The place has everything you need and Lala and Randy help with every question immediately. And I also enjoyed playing with the dog a lot. Highly recommended place.

We had a great time and were able to use the Sugar Shack as a launchpad to see the whole island. If anything, they understated the beauty and amenities the place provides. Lala & Randy were cordial and helpful and Wilson the dog was friendly!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sugar Shack. A very positive experience overall, and we would definitely stay here again! Only suggestions we might make: Sound barrier - We are hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, and felt bad about how early we got up to start our day, because we felt like we may be waking up the owners upstaris. Couch - Couch is worn and really needs to be replaced to be more comfortable. Other than these 2 things, we were really happy with our stay her overall. Thanks to LaLa and Randy!

We had a wonderful relaxing week here. It is a great location with easy access to the NP and all places on the island. There was an unfortunate event that occurred based on previous residents not following rules. Randy handled that situation and another issue with calm and coolness, which was much appreciated. We highly recommend this wonderful rental!

This place is perfect for a couple. The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful 24/7. You’re slightly elevated so you get cooler weather and consistent wind. All the amenities you need. 40~ min to Lahaina. 30~ min to Kihei. You get a shortcut to start the road to Hana. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else on the island. We loved every moment of it.

I wish I could give the sugar shack more than 5 stars. It was the perfect spot for my husband and I to stay for our friends wedding. Quiet and secluded but still just a short drive to everywhere.
