Clean condo, well equipped kitchen, great location
The condo complex is lovely, and located right in Kona town and right at the water's edge. The check in process was a breeze, and the condo was lovely, clean and well appointed, with beatiful views and furnished with a coastal Hawaiian feel. The management was very responsive to questions that arose during the stay. I would love to stay again!
We had a great stay in Kona. The apartment had everything we needed and was close to town. We walked to town everyday for food and activities. The pool and hot tub were nice too and parking was easy and convenient. The AC in the living room and bedroom were both lifesavers since it could be pretty hot and humid outside at times, and we used the washing machine and dryer too. Overall had a great vacation here!
This was our first trip to the Big Island & our Kona Reef condo was the perfect, central location to explore! Walking distance to shops/restaurants in Kailua-Kona area, just a short drive from the Kona airport, ocean front views, lovely grounds, pool area, community bbq area. Large & spacious accommodations, with a comfy king bed, all kitchen amenities AND in-unit laundry! Couldn't ask for more!
The condo was excellent, well equipped, clean and comfortable. View was fantastic. Location within walking distance to shops and restaurants!
Not much else to say but perfect. No complaints. Great location to walk to downtown, spacious and clean. Would recommend.
The unit was comfortable with great parking close to unit. There were greeting snacks with were thoughtful. Wish there had been more than 2 dishwasher soaps. Appreciated having Laundry soap and dryer softener so didn’t have to buy whole package. Had to buy sugar so would have been nice to have some packets so didn’t have to buy a whole bag of sugar for husband’s coffee. All in all was nice. Have stayed in an ocean front unit and a unit on the other side so is our 3rd stay at the Kona Reef.
Condo was exactly as advertised. Clean and had all the amenities we needed, including some beach chairs. Balcony was perfect for relaxing and watching the waves. Enjoyed being withing a short walk of town. Would definitely rent this one again.
I’d definitely stay at Kona Reef Resorts, but I’d skip unit E-22 until the place gets a deep clean. The AC and WiFi were great. The view overlooking the pool and ocean is great. The bed is comfortable. However, the linens and towels need to be replaced. The washing machine needs to be bleached and scrubbed. The tile floors had not been cleaned so I bought some swiffer supplies and did that (could not get ahold of the management company, Casago Kona for supplies). There are some beach items such as 1 noodle, some chairs (we left 2 more), beach towels, and snorkel equipment which was nice. It would definitely be 5 stars if not for the unresponsive management company and the cleanliness issue. Hopefully these things can be remedied. Overall a great time on the Big Island!

Second time staying here. Condo is very clean, fully stocked. Wifi was not good in bedroom which i had noted previously with property manager. AC was not working in bedroom and was advised it would be repaired although no one ever repaired it, otherwise, a great condo.
This is a great property (Kona Reef) and condo. The Condo has all you need for your entire stay. Even had great Beach equipment. Great Ocean views and an awesome pool and plenty of free parking. The best is the convenient access to downtown Kona where you can walk to within 10 minutes.
Great condo with very nice pool and small beach with nice waves. Had nice beach chairs and boogie boards.
This is a very nicely updated unit in a very convenient location. The property management staff were responsive and helpful. The kitchen is very well stocked. The ocean front location and pool are very nice.

It's a great location. Next to a small beach and ocean view ( partial but awesome) watched the surfers while eating breakfast. The condo had everything we needed. Everything was labeled. It was great!! It really felt like home. The owner is really thoughtful. Our son loved the sofa bed. The bathroom is wonderful and stocked! I really can't say enough about this condo. We really enjoyed our stay. Magalo!! 😀
Pictures a little deceiving on unit size. A/c unit leaked in bedroom the most of the entire 10 days. View was nice from the lanai. Enjoyed the beach chairs and umbrella. Definitely had a mildew smell probably from the A/C unit and the towels smelled the same way also.
Great communication with owners. We walked every morning to breakfast and evening fir dinners. So convenient for food and shopping without having to drive. We will definitely come back and highly recommend. What a great place to celebrate our anniversary!
Our stay in this condo was most enjoyable! The unit was super clean. It had a very modern kitchen with updated appliances and was well stocked with everything needed for cooking. The bed was comfortable, the shower was huge, and we really enjoyed having the large washer and dryer in the unit. The air conditioners in the living room and the bedroom worked well and were very quiet. [The only thing I would change in the unit would be the sofa, which wasn't very comfortable, but the recliner was nice.] The location was excellent, as well as the view of the ocean. The balcony was a great place to sit and relax, and we looked forward to seeing the seasonal residents entertain nightly with a routine of blowing conch shells at sunset. These residents were so pleasant, which made one feel like they were among friends. And speaking of pleasant-- Ryan, the property manager was so very kind. The communication with him was excellent, and he was always eager to help in any way he could.
Great property- great views- great location! My only complaint is that the staff were swimming in the pool in their pants/work clothes prior to their day. No problem with them swimming if they’d just wear proper swim attire.

Beautiful ocean views with easy access to the pool. Updates throughout the unit. Plenty of parking both covered and outside. Quick walk to the local shops and restaurants. We especially appreciated the quiet air conditioning that could be regulated both in the main living area and separately within the bedroom. We would stay here again.
