Makahena at Poipu unit #4303: Go with the flow in this two-level, 1,380 square-foot, three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath haven. Pull up a barstool and watch your designated chef prepare your feast in the morning as you enjoy your coffee from your coffee maker. Seating is available for two more guests at the kitchen island overlooking the kitchen. The fully equipped kitchen offers cookware, a refrigerator, oven, stovetop, toaster, and microwave. After breakfast in the dining room which seats four, guests can clean up with ease in the sink or using the dishwasher.

After a day of exploration, your party of up to eight can rest comfortable in their chosen location on the sofa bed, king, queen, and two twins. There are two full baths and one-half bath so every guest can enjoy their space and make the Makahuena their vacation home. Amenities include WiFi, ceiling fans, washer/dryer, and two flat-screen cable TVs.

As of October 2022, our neighbors recently purchased the last coastline property on the south shore, called Makahuena Estates. They are in the process of building nine vacation rentals. Our unit at Makahuena #4303 is within closer proximity of the property line and may experience louder noise than usual from Monday – Friday, between the hours of 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Makahuena Estates is an entirely separate property from our property. We will do our best to update information based on the project’s progress. We appreciate your understanding and loyalty as guests.

Our ocean view resort offers stunning views from each vacation condo. While we do not have air-conditioning in this unit, we have fans to help circulate the Pacific breeze. Each condo has a sliding glass door that opens onto the lanai, and windows throughout the space to help enhance the cross-breeze throughout the space.

Embrace the cool trade winds and the laid-back lifestyle of Kauai. Perched on Kauai's southernmost point, Makahuena features hotel-style amenities including a pool, sun deck, jet spa, tennis courts, free parking, and barbecue grills. You can walk to Poipu Beach Park for snorkeling and then refuel with ahi tacos at Brennecke’s Beach Broiler. On-site we offer property perks including a pool, jet spa, tennis court, and barbecue grills. There are no daily amenity fees. Parking is available to guests....

All good except that the pull out failed. Staff quickly rectified problem with another roll away. Coffee pot failed, but again rectified by staff. beach chairs are probably in need of replacement. Would recommend property.

This condo was perfect for me and my coworkers to sleep at and relax. The breeze that you get from the moment you open the sliding door cools down the condo immediately plus you get an ocean view. The only downfall would be that the second bedroom shower doesn’t work or at least we couldn’t figure it out. Which for us was fine we just shared 1 shower. Overall 5 out of 5. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful view and easy access to the beach. No management on site. Pullout couch broken, could not use balcony. Ended up renting a hotel room for part of the stay due to pullout couch not working.

Great complex and apartment. Location is optimal with views of the ocean to whale watch. Close to many beaches and hiking locations. Apartment itself is older, but spacious and very comfortable. Would definitely return.

The check in communication was not good . I had to reach out twice for instructions a week and then a day prior . Then had to go to a separate location to sign in . The property is dated and although inside was clean - the windows and screens were filthy and guest towels are old and fraying . The common pool is nice . The Vrbo we rented in Princeville fir the same price was 5 stars And this was a 3 at best .

Great place. We were there with 2 other families in nearby condos. Perfect for all of us! Condo was well equipped and easy to live in. Only criticism was the lack of info on arrival re where to collect keys etc. We were super lucky to bump into another guest who told us to go down the road to another hotel to collect the keys. This info would have been great beforehand!
