If traveling with young children, multiple families, or couples this is the place for you!
Valentina and Alex were gracious and wonderful hosts to our family of eight on our weeklong trip. Our hosts were happy to help with anything that was needed and clearly relayed information to us despite the language barrier. We enjoyed their cooking and were happy to share some of ours with them as well. Thank you for the eggs! The house was beautifully decorated, spacious, and well stocked for all needs. The open floorplan made cooking for a large family fun and engaging. There is lots of seating for hanging out in different areas watching TV (large TV & Roku in living room), playing games, eating, and enjoying each other’s company while on vacation. With four bedrooms (with extra sleeping in each room), a nursery with a toddler bed and baby swing, three full bathrooms, washer/dryer (& clothes lines), a large dining room, and deck our family was very comfortable. We will be renting this house again!
While the location may be right on the highway and therefore have noise associated with traffic and sirens it was a perfect location for quickly getting everywhere. The convenience of the location gave us the opportunity to enjoy our trip even more.

Excellent accommodations and hosts. Property exceeded our expectations as far as comfort and space. Hosts were friendly and accessible. We would recommend this property to everyone and look forward for a future opportunity to return.

Needs some organization but the hosts, Valentina, was very accommodating and helpful with all requests.
Plenty of sleeping areas and beds. Enough for all 9 of us.
One drawback….the traffic noise.
We had a great time. Loved Hilo.

Valentina was a wonderful host. She lives on the bottom floor of the home and would often greet us and was available whenever we had a question. There were 9 of us, we stayed for a week, and we had plenty of space. The house is clean and decorated with a lot of personal items and photos. The house has a big open kitchen and living room, which was nice to chat while we prepared meals together The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of linens, and was comfortable. We had 2 cars and there was plenty of parking. The property is next to a busy road, so there was often traffic noise. Easy drive to zoo, Mauna Loa macadamia nut farm, downtown Hilo, beaches, and Volcano National Park. I would stay here again.
