Newly painted stylish cozy private studio (a tropical getaway), by itself on the corner of the owner's property surrounded by tropical trees, shrubs, and flowers along with soursop and avocado trees. It has a hard tile floor, granite bar, tiled walk-in shower, ceiling fan, smart tv (no cable but if you have Hulu or Netflix account that should work), kitchen amenities, and nuke wave hot plate, blender, coffee machine, steamer, pots, and pans and a variety of spices and condiments.
It's on county water (Hilo water is possibly the best in the nation and very safe to drink right from the tap!). It's in a nice, coo, and safe neighborhood centrally located to all major tourist attraction sites. This studio boasts cleanliness and a very comfortable SlumberWorld queen mattress.
Also a comfy love seat, and a nice seating area with a table on the private lanai.
The studio is located on a hillside and not affected by any flooding and very far from any lava threats. There are coqui frogs that serenade the nights away. Enquire about car for rent ( if available).
Strong WiFi with extender for added strength, max that Spectrum offers of 996 gig. ...

We enjoyed our stay in this charming little cottage tucked back away from the street surrounded by tropical vegetation. It is great for one or two people looking for an affordable place in the Hilo area. It is a nice quiet location away from the hotel area but still close to attractions. Diana is a nice hostess who saw to our needs, and we enjoyed talking with her.

Diana greeted us Friday evening upon our arrival. Fresh papaya was a pleasant surprise. Accommodations were great. Diana provided us with helpful hints on local businesses and Hilo Farmerโ€™s Market. We would stay with Diana, if we visit again.

We truly enjoyed our stay here! Diana and Juan were very hospitable and made us feel right at home. Their accommodations made our trip much more convenient and enjoyable, from a full kitchen with a refrigerator to cook and store our own meals to providing a washer and dryer/clothesline so we could travel light. Not to mention they sent us on our way with a bag full of delicious homegrown mangoes! Definitely our first choice and recommendation for a place to stay on the big island!
