Everything was outstanding!
Our family of four spent 9 nights here and absolutely loved it! The property is beautiful and lived up to the photos. The garage has all the typical beach accessories you could need and more. Was pleasantly surprised to even find some footballs that we could toss on the beach. They also provide great beach towels to use. As others have commented, the Beach Club access is a huge benefit - it’s a less than 10 min drive from the house to the beach parking lot which is access controlled by a key card so parking there was never a problem (we usually got to the beach by 10ish). The beach was great for snorkeling and just enjoying yourself. We went multiple times and found it was never super crowded but it does pick up as the day goes on; highly recommend visiting late afternoon too. Sunset from the walking path on either side of the beach was gorgeous. The pool at the resort complex was also great and about a 3 min walk from the house. There is a Foodland grocery store that is about a 5 min drive from the house which had a good selection of most anything we needed. We signed up for the Foodland reward program ahead of time and it added up to significant discounts so I would definitely recommend doing that.We did the luau at the Fairmont Orchid (5 stars for that as well) which was also about 5 min away so it was very convenient (it is walkable if you are motivated and want to work off a big dinner). The drive to Volcano National Park was about 2 hours but is totally worth it.
Well kept, well stocked and well looked after place.Enjoyed staying here immensely. Filled with thoughtful adds - games, DVDs, detailed instruction, even had all the manuals for the multiple appliances supplied for use.I would love to stay there any time I am in the area.Just one thing to be aware of is that this only has 1 official parking spot available, but the instruction sheet does suggest how to accommodate for more than the one spot
Such a lovely property. We wanted for nothing, and we loved the convenience of Foodland down the street plus the beach club.
Our family had a great vacation staying here. The location was perfect and the property itself was also great. This was probably the best stocked vacation rental we have ever stayed at, from the kitchen utensils/bakeware/food to beach towels to all the beach and pool accessories and toys you could need. They even had birthday candles, which we used to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Not only was it incredibly stocked but everything was very organized and clearly labeled. Overall, it was the perfect place for our family vacation.
We had a great stay in Kona and absolutely loved this condo. The space was larger than it appears in the photos and very well appointed. We really appreciated the beach gear and all the tips and tricks left for us in order to best enjoy the island. Next time we will stay longer as we didn’t have near enough time to do everything we wanted.
You won’t be disappointed if you book this property. The location is great with easy access to shops, beaches, restaurants and activities. The beach club access was a huge hit with our kids and an easy place to go and relax with no worries about rough water. The hosts were very quick to respond and super helpful with tips on what to do and where to go. The property itself was one of the best we’ve stayed at. It was well-kept, beautiful view and great location within the complex. It had so many extras that made it easy to be on vacation but still feel at home, especially with the kids. The pool was great and easy to get to. Would definitely recommend!
It is even nicer than it looks in the photos! You don’t need to worry as our hosts provided everything we could need. Fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Beach things in garage. The pool is wonderful. Lanai is beautiful and nice view of the golf course. Hosts are available by message or phone. Thanks for everything Tannis and Jamie. We would definitely book again. Lovely stay on the BI! This house has everything you need! It seemed like every time we needed something I was able to find it! The kitchen was amazing and everything we needed plus more. The cooking pans were top notch and all the dinnerwear too. It was convenient to have all the pool and beach toys too. The place was clean and cozy it was great for the little ones and adults alike!
This property is great. Cleanliness was superb the kitchen is very well stocked. The availabity of the beach club and other surrounding beaches makes this an excellent venue for couples and families. Will book this again..
My wife and I have been coming to the Mauna Lani resort for 8 years, and this is our 2nd year in the Fairways and our 1st year in this beautiful condo. We have already reserved our two weeks here for next January, and will hope to spend the rest of our visits to the Big Island in this beautiful home!We’ve never seen a condo so well equipped (we dare you to list a kitchen need that has not already been thought of!), so beautifully decorated, and with such a practical layout (master suite on the ground floor, with extra bedrooms upstairs for family or guests). Glasses and plates in abundance – both plastic for the kids and ceramic for the adults. All the appliances and pots/pans you’d ever need. And so many beach towels and house towels…you’ll never run out!This condo is large, with space for all with room to spare. The furniture and fixtures are first-rate (most comfortable couch we’ve ever sat on!). The garage is stuffed with lots of beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, and beach toys…just amazing. And the boogie boards are new…a nice change from other condos! The condo was immaculately clean upon our arrival, and our communications with the owners were answered promptly and effectively. Our second stay at this property was once again excellent. We appreciated the improvements the owners have made to make it an even better rental experience.
We have stayed in several condos in this development and this was by far the best outfitted and best located of them all. The kitchen had all the cookware and serving items you could imagine. Little touches like ample boxes of tissues, a variety of body lotions and soaps, etc., were so convenient to have. It was nice to have the cooking necessities such as spices, oils, vinegars and the like there. There was snorkeling gear in many sizes, as well as coolers, beach equipment (umbrella, chairs, etc) and ample beach towels. The lanai is very private and perfect for dinner each evening. I highly recommend this condo!
We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful townhome. The owners thought of everything. We did not cook much but the kitchen had all you need. The access to the beach club was a plus and the patio was a serene place to relax. We highly recommend this property.
Its nice to feel all your needs are met in a vacation rental. Every amenity and detail was very thought out in this wonderful space. From beach chairs to cooking items we had everything we needed. Fully stocked and beautifully decorated. It was a great stay!
Well-appointed property - it probably had the best equipped kitchen of any VRBO we've stayed in. And the location is excellent. We very much enjoyed the nearby beach club. We look forward to coming back!

Great location, fully stocked kitchen. Excellent spot for families to enjoy Hawaii Island. Garage is a great staging area for beach activities, and has many helpful items. Owner is very responsive and friendly.
The condo well exceeded our expectations and is nicer than the photos demonstrate. It is incredibly well equipt for anything you will need for a comfortable and fun vacation on the Kohala Coast. The info shared by the owners/managers was incredibly helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable. Can't recommend this VRBO listing enough!

Beautiful home, spacious, and it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The back lanai is a great spot for breakfast. The location of the home within the community makes it peaceful and quiet.
Well appointed 3 BR with quiet location in Fairways Mauna Lani. We've stayed in this complex 8 times prior and this is cleanest, best equipped and most responsive and helpful owners. Great trip
Townhome was exceptional with newer furnishings and top of the line appliances. Very clean. Luxury experience. Garage included everything we needed for the beach. Property on whole was lovely with beautiful trees and flowers, walking paths, pool and spa. Location has easy walking or driving access to multiple beaches. Beach Club access was a huge difference maker with really good snorkeling in a cove good for the whole family - variety of reef fish, sea turtles, sea cucumbers, urchins, etc. Resort bars and restaurants served good drinks and food with relaxed outdoor atmosphere. Communication with host was great. Proactive check-in details, very thorough. Onsite property manager was helpful and available for our needs. Everyone was responsive and thoughtful. Huge mahalo to Jamie, Francine and Tannis for making our stay on the Big Island the best ever!
Our family stayed here for 6 nights and we were so satisfied with our stay! The townhouse is exactly as advertised: beautiful and had everything we needed for our stay. We really appreciated the coolers/ice packs/beach towels/snorkel gear that is stored in the garage. We made use of the propane grill for a couple of the nights. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook comfortably. The master bedroom mattress is supportive and very comfortable, as is the living room furniture. We would stay at this property again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
We enjoyed our stay. It was quiet and peaceful. Beautiful scenery with so much to do. Lots of beach equipment including snorkeling gear.
However, we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the place especially in the kitchen - dirty dishes, greasy pots & baking sheets in the cupboards. Coffee pot & toaster needed cleaning. Drink rings on glass tabletops. Lots of dust on ceiling fan upstairs and under master bed. Mold in master shower. The whole place needed a DEEP cleaning.
This is a well-planned and cared-for unit 20 minutes north of the Kona airport.The weather is consistently better there than any place we visited on the island - a pocket paradise. It is near world-famous beaches, has private beach access and boasts a quiet location in its resort.
The home itself is well laid out so a couple can spend their visit on the main floor, with additional bedrooms and bath on the second storey. The kitchen is exceptionally well provisioned, the living area comfortable and the shaded lanai a favorite place for morning coffee. We appreciated the spacious ensuite and particularly enjoyed the thoughtfully put-together walk-in closet. Originally we were concerned about parking outside the unit, but found many owners use their garages for golf carts and park in the nearby provided spaces quite happily - we did as well.
Maybe the best feature of all was the support and communication with our hosts, primarily Jamie and Tannis. In all the years we have relied on VRBO rentals, they have simply been the best. Thoughtful, informative, considerate, generous, responsive - they are models for the industry.
So to them, a heartfelt thank you for welcoming us as well as they did in their wonderful home!
Everything about this condo is fantastic! It has everything you need for a great stay on the island. It was the perfect space for our 5 adult (3 generations) family. Communication with owners was great with great tips for enjoying our stay. Thanks so much and I hope to stay again sometime!

Everything was great. The communication with Tannis and Jamie was easy and they were so quick at responding.
The house was clean and well stocked. Loved the welcome basket that they include. Its such a nice touch. The house comes with lots of beach chairs, snorkelling equipment ( which we could also tell was new) , boogie boards , picnic coolers etc. Everything you need to go to the private Mauna Lani Beach club. This house is a 10+.

The townhome was beautiful and comfortable for a family of four with two adult children. The location was close to the grocery store, restaurants and beautiful beaches. The hosts had prepared a binder of information about the condo and the area that was very helpful, as well as labels and notes throughout the home. They were also very responsive to any questions that we sent through the VRBO inbox. The lanai was great for coffee in the morning, relaxing in the evening and grilling. Loved the gated beach access, which included lounge chairs. Mostly drove to the beach access but also walkable when some of the group went earlier. Walking loop that included the grounds at the Mauna Lani and Fairmont was great. To sum it up - great townhome, great location and great hosts.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The inside was beautifully styled to match the tropical feeling on the island. The neighborhood and surrounding area were welcoming, fun, and exciting. Everything was clean and tidy. Our host also provided us with information and recommendations on where to go during our stay, many of which helped us a lot. For anybody planning to go to the Big Island with friends or family, this is the perfect place to stay. Highly recommended and we feel so lucky having the opportunity staying here.
