The Honolulu Mayor has suspended new short-term rentals in residential areas. Reservations can now only be taken for a 30-day minimum. We are taking 30-day reservations for Mar 10 to Apr 9, 2024; Jun 5 to Jul 5, 2024; and any 30-day period beginning Jul 20. In business since 1998, we are the most reviewed beach house in our town, but we don't get high ratings for night life. If you're working remotely, love the ocean and a leisurely pace, Hale Kai Ewa features an open floor plan that looks out to the Pacific Ocean. You can dine with the sand crabs, enjoy the view of Diamond Head, amazing sunsets, and relax to the rhythm of the waves and work remotely. A family of 4 adults and 2 children or 4 working adults is most desirable. The rate is for up to six people. Tax is an additional 17.95% Bathrooms are cleaned weekly at no extra cost. Additional service is available at $35/hr. The trade winds help to keep the house cool, but for extra comfort, the bedrooms have split AC. The bonus room does not have AC. The roof of the lanai shades the length of the house for enjoyable outdoor dining for six. You can have your zoom meeting with the Pacific Ocean in the background. There's also an open patio within a retaining wall for full sun with your morning coffee and for barbequing with sauces or grilling for crispy, charred, caramelized goodness and those picture-perfect grill marks . The kitchen is equipped with microwave, Breville toaster oven, Corelle dishware, glassware, cookware, coffee pot, blender, and other small appliances. Need help? I'm right next door. At Oahu’s beloved Hanauma Bay Nature Reserve, a $25 per person, timed entry permitting system for out-of-state visitors has been in effect since 2021. They require reservations to be made up to 48 hours in advance, and the viewing of a mandatory introductory video before entry. Reservations are usually snapped up within 5 minutes of opening. 2. Smoking is not permitted on the property and the State does not allow smoking on the beach. More than 2 million butts were found on our coastal shores on one day of cleanup. That's twice the amount of food wrappers and containers found on that day. Our shore birds eat the butts and die of starvation. We need to step up and help our environment to be able to continue to be the paradise everyone ...

Everyone enjoyed the stay. It was great to be on the water, see sunrises AND sunsets, not have to eat every meal out, get inside advice about thinks to do and local places to try, etc. I thought I would work more, but I didn’t do any work while my guests were there. Only downside was the driving, but it was a fair trade off with the water, sunrises and sunsets.

This is the cutest beach house! As a family of 5 adults we had all the space we needed and loved everything about this property. Karen is a gracious host. The location of this house is perfect. Pictures on this listing don’t show the upgrades we enjoyed - all new flooring, kitchen & bathrooms. AC in the bedrooms, large covered patio & fully stocked with everything you could need. The beach is soft sand & the views of Waikiki & Diamond Head are lovely, especially at night. Awesome sunsets too! We will not hesitate to stay here again!

We were so happy with everything! It was nice to be away from the hussle and bussle of the city to the nice and quiet of the house. The house was comfy and had everything needed. And that view! Wow! So much more beautiful in person or from the kitchen table eating breakfast! Karen was an amazing host in communicating and showing us the house. It was so nice to have the convenience of the house right on the beach and water. We highly recommend this house and will stay here again!
