Property Description

The first thing you will notice when you enter the condo is the view of the ocean that fills the entire glass slider making you feel like you are on a ship out at sea. One guest said they dropped to their knees and wept because of the overwhelming view of the ocean.

This unit is located on the second floor without an elevator. The second floor is the best compromise as it is one less flight of stairs and has an unobstructed view of the ocean. First floor units have an obstructed view do to the seawall. Another plus is that this unit is air conditioned as there are still many units without AC in this resort.

This is a premier property located directly on the ocean front off Alii Dr. in Kailua-Kona in the historical Kona Magic Sands Resort. Directly on the North side of the building is a park for yoga, BBQing and picnicking. Thirty feet to the West is the turquoise blue ocean where you can see a plethora of yellow tang fish in the surf, snorkelers, outrigger canoe races, spinner dolphins and frolicking whales. Forty feet to the East of the building is an unobstructed view of Alii Dr. and the final marathon leg of the World Championship Ironman triathlon. Directly on the South side of the building, steps from our unit, is the Magic Sands Beach, which is the only white sand beach in Kailua-Kona. The beach is excellent for boogie boarding and sea turtles commonly swim between your legs while wadding in the warm ocean waters.

I love to take my two mile morning walk to the Green Shack coffee shop and listen to the orchestra of exotic birds. The Kona Trolley shuttle and ebike station are directly across the street if you want a more leisurely travel into downtown Kailua-Kona. The Kona Royal Resort has a top notch luau with a roasted pig cooked in a traditional earthen oven wrapped in tea leaves. It is truly the most delicious thing I've ever eaten.

The big island has so much to offer that it is going to take a life time to experience all of it. Some of the favorites include helicopter tours, active volcano hikes, star gazing from the worlds largest and most scientifically active observatory in the world, whale watching, snorkeling, surfing, swimming with the manta rays, jungle waterfall hikes, deep sea fishing and just plain relaxing. Every time I visit, I never want to leave.

Our studio condo is EXTREMELY luxurious now. We (meaning me) just did a $105,000 remodel by myself. Entering the unit, you are immediately met with a fully functioning 20 inch stainless stove with glass top, all new shaker cabinets with matte black hardware, under mount sink with push button disposal, new 18-inch stainless dishwasher, quartz counter tops with a two stool bar on the end, new 28 gal short water heater, new stainless microwave, full sized stainless refrigerator, cleaning supply closet, coffee nook, wall mount movable 54-inch TV with cabinets housing internet and router equipment, armoire for hanging clothes, dining table with bar stool seating and hula lamp, queen sized sofa sleeper couch for additional guests including portable privacy wall, king sized bed with two door under dresser, matching night stands with matching palm tree lamps, barn door access to bathroom, vanity with back lit mirror, large format tile, glass enclosed shower with mosaic flooring and 20 inch mosaic niche, hooks for swimsuits, shelving for extra towels, laundry basket, full length mirror, a place to put full sized luggage under the bottom shelf for maximizing living space and all new luxury plank flooring. In addition, there is a beach closet in the bathroom, which houses two boogie boards, two beach chairs, a beach umbrella, a regular umbrella for rainy days, two life vests, two sets of snorkel gear, a cooler bag and some beach toys.

The kitchen is full service with everything you should need; dishware, pots and pans, toaster, blender, coffee grinder, coffee press, water heating pot for tea, silverware, utensils, knives, etc. The trash is located in the far left cabinet drawer of the kitchen.

The laundry facility is located ground level on the North side of the building on the Pahoehoe side. The key in the unit will allow you to access the machines that can be operated with coins or better via an app. This key also provides access to the pool and outdoor shower in a bamboo fence located at the entrance off Alii Dr.

You will lay in your bed and fall asleep to the smell of the ocean breeze and the meditative sounds of the ocean waves.

Hopefully you are outside playing as much as possible, but we do have wifi and cable for viewing on a 54-inch tv.

We hope you love your stay as much as we do and have experiences you will remember for a life time.
