The house and lanai are even better than the photos suggest. Very quiet neighborhood, other than New Years Eve when we were treated to fireworks all around us. If you don't mind driving 15 to 20 minutes to most places this is a great and relaxing base of operations. Worked great for my wife and me, our 24 year old daughter, my 85 year old father, and my sister. Waikoloa Village is chill, and the views are great!
We really enjoyed this home and the ability to use it as a base for our exploration of Hawai'i with our adult daughter. The market is close by and we had lots of options for eating out within 15 minutes. The sunsets are amazing and the pool was a wonderful asset that I wish we enjoyed even more.
A get together with old friends
The view was one of the best in the entire Village! Totally unobstructed views of the Kohala and Kona Coasts, and even Maui in the distance! The house was clean and had all we needed.
This home was everything and MORE! The trade winds made the home completely enjoyable. The views were absolutely spectacular. Having spent most of our previous time on the island in the Kona area, it was amazing to explore this side. The POOL was incredible. Heated just enough to be super refreshing! Inside and out, this home is beautiful.

This property is very welcoming in a peaceful community. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets from the well appointed patio and lovely pool. The interior is beautifully decorated and has all the comforts of home! Perfect place to return to after our explorations around the island!

If you arw looking for a nice quiet getaway with everything you need close by this is the perfect location. My wife and I felt right at home here in the neighborhood setting with beautiful sunsets. This home is a great value with a beautiful pool and the beach is a short drive down the mountain.

On this trip it was our first time traveling with an infant and we couldn’t have picked a better place to feel at “home”. The house had amazing views and had everything we needed when traveling with a 6 month old. We hope to be back soon!

The house matched the reviews and description. Upon arriving, I wasn’t sure if the house would cool down but it was great after the first night. The trade winds kicked in and kept the place cool. The kids were in the pool almost every day but it was a bit chilly for the adults. We were still happy as the kids are at ages where they can be in the pool without an adult. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pan and baking sheets. The Weber Grill was a nice add 😊. We grilled out a few evenings as well. If you are looking for a place close to Kona town, this house is minimum 30 minute drive one way. Overall, we would stay here again and are missing the views and tranquility of the home already. Thanks for having us and you have a lovely home.

We were treated to fireworks on Martin Luther King Day which we saw while in the pool. Highly recommend it.. There is a grocery store 2 minutes away…and the neighbourhood is quiet and safe.

Sitting here on our last morning gazing out on the infinity pool and view to ocean. Perfect breeze, birds coping, this is the definition of tranquility. House is spacious and well-equipped. We stayed for New Years and had 360 degree view of fireworks in every direction! Magical. Only drawback is it’s a bit far from beaches (20 minute drive) but what you get for it is the view. You do have a nice market and gas station very close by (3 minutes) which is easy and convenient. Loved our stay!

What a wonderful place. The house has everything you need for a relaxing stay on the Big Island. Well equipped, clean and the pool was just perfect.
The main draw here was the pool, which was used daily and awesome. The house itself is super no-frills. No AC made nights extremely warm and not providing enough toilet paper for a week-long stay for 5 adults is a weird choice. I've rented many houses in my day and have never had just a "starter amount" of TP. The grill and outdoor seating were nice and relaxing and if you want to be close to the shops and beaches near Waikoloa & Mauna Lani then this is a great spot.
15 -20 minutes to great beaches, shops and hikes along the coast. The pool is a great way to refresh after a long day exploring this wonderful island. We’ll stocked kitchen and beautiful views.
We will be back! This property was perfect for our family of 3! We had a very active vacation on The Big Island, and we ended each day with a cozy retreat in this beautiful home. The pool is amazing! We enjoyed coffee on the lanai each morning and beautiful sunsets followed by bright evening stars at each day's end. The property is clean and comfortable. Communication, check-in, and check-out were easy. We will be back!
We truly enjoyed our stay at Kevin and Darin's Sunset Ridge home. The house was clean, the beds comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked.
There are many thoughtful elements such as great beach towels, laundry room with hangers for all your wet gear, beach toys and chairs, etc.
The view and the pool make this an amazing vacation home that is hard to leave even just to go to some of the beautiful beaches that are nearby.
We will definitely rent this home again.
