Shores of Maui is a special place. A boutique community where only 50 units share the amenities typical of a much larger complex. Unit 203 is on the top floor of this two-story building, accessible from a short stairway leading directly to your front door. The walkway to the unit displays a variety of lush, tropical palms and flowers. From your lanai enjoy a panoramic view of the south side of Haleakala to the Maui coastline. The one level condo has a main bedroom that has a Cal King bed, desk, flat screen HDTV and A/C. The second bedroom has 2 queen beds and a flat screen HDTV. The condo comfortably sleeps six. The unit is fully furnished including a well-equipped kitchen with stainless refrigerator, dishwasher and oven. Washer and dryer for guests to use. Enjoy the convenient location minutes from Maui’s top rated beaches, South Maui’s best dining, delightful local cafes, shopping and attractions. Always wanted to learn to surf? Simply head across the street to the adored “Cove” where numerous surf instructors provide daily lessons to all age groups and skill levels. Or walk one block to Charlie Young beach/Kamaole I and enjoy one of the best swimming beaches on Maui.
As the most consistently sunny place on Maui, Kihei receives less than 13 inches of precipitation annually. There is no better area on the island to ensure a sunny vacation! Kihei is also known for its relaxed, local feel, however The Shores of Maui is only a short drive from upscale Wailea shops and resorts. You can go from beach casual to opulence in minutes!
On-site amenities include a solar heated pool, heated spa with jets, tennis court, covered outdoor dining area and modern barbeque grills. One parking stall is included in the rental.

The place has a fully equipped kitchen, A/C, cable TV, and decent/clean carpet. It was nice that the place came with supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, clothes detergent, garbage bags, etc) for us to readily use. Everything (souvenir shops, Starbucks, Shaved Ice, grocery store) was within walking distance, especially to the restaurants, which most closed at 9PM. My only complaints are the gray bed sheets and gray pillow cases were not fresh and there were stains on the sheets (I found darker spots on them). If you were sleeping in the bedroom in front, you can hear a lot of people talking from outside as early as 5AM. Overall, our family enjoyed our stay.

This was our first trip to Maui and we were so happy with the property! Being in Kihei, it was central to all of the activities we did! The property was clean and absolutely perfect for our dream vacation! Thank you for a wonderful rental that just added to our amazing vacation!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Shores of Maui. Jamie's apartment is clean and very well appointed - kitchen, bathrooms, towels, beach gear, tennis/pickleball, shopping bags, and lots of fans as well as A/C in the main room and the primary bedroom. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of space, and the complex has a nice pool/hot tub, and tennis/pickleball court. Jamie was a very attentive host, provided great info, and was ready to help when we had a panic that we left something behind.
The location is fantastic. it's less than a 5 minute walk to the beach/waterfront, park, restaurants, shave ice, South Maui Gardens with almost 20 food truck options, gas station, you name it. Get in the car and explore all of Kihei within a few minutes' drive in any direction, continue south to Wailea/Makena, or go north and west to access everywhere else on Maui in no more than about 90 minutes.
Relative to the listing, the photo of "pool view off the lanai" is actually what you see straight from the largest exposure of the balcony. The views of the ocean are to the side. As for watching the sunset, that must be feasible in the winter. By early June the sunset was more visible from the porch by the front door than off the balcony. A very small thing in reality, though, because it's much nicer to walk across the street to the beach and watch from there.
We would definitely recommend it, and would also stay again if we return to Maui.

Just a real great place that is centrally located to a lot of great things. Being across the street from the best beginner surf beach in Maui is just awesome. Great pool and hot tub. Excellent communication with host. Will definitely stay here again.

Location was perfect. Beach directly across the street. Can see turtles swimming in water along the beach rock wall and was still lucky enough to see a few whales from our lanai. Grocery stores, restaurants and stores/markets within walking distance. Walking paths across the street that are along the beach Lots of beaches accessible.
The condo was well equipped with everything you need to cook, also well equipped with all you needs for a day at the beach. Even saw beach toys. Really nice pool area.

Excellent location with access to beaches directly across the street and walking distance to shops and restaurant's.
Nice clean pool with 3 bbq's for easy cooking outdoors.
Extremely well stocked with everything needed to enjoy your stay, even abundant amount of beach chairs.

The condo was perfect for us. Roomy, clean, and stocked with everything you might possibly need for a beach vacation. We came from Jersey and did not want to have to lug much with us. The host provided beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, coolers, etc in great condition. We also received little extras to start us off like laundry pods and soap etc. The location was also great, as there are so many amazing places to eat in Kihei. 100 percent would stay again!
