This island home features 3 large bedrooms, each with a king sized bed and ensuite full bathroom. The home is outfitted with tropical-inspired furniture, and ceiling fans throughout. The open layout of full kitchen, dining area, and step-down living room provide a spacious feel for the whole family. A full-size washer and dryer are located inside the home for your convenience. Hale Kai Kea also has a spacious bonus room furnished with a sofa, two twin size beds, small dining area and a flat screen TV - perfect for kids or multi-family vacations. Sit out on the second story sundeck or step out of the sliding doors on the ground floor to the private lanai that features some outdoor seating, gas grill, and a landscaped backyard.

We recommend soaking in the sun and enjoying the beautiful outdoors that Kaua'i has to offer. But if you need to stay connected, free wireless internet is provided.

For your convenience, we provide some beach gear for your use: beach chairs, umbrella, small cooler, and beach towels.
We also provide a starter supply of amenities and toiletries (soaps, toilet paper, paper towels, detergents).

Situated in the ideal location in Poipu – just a short walk from pristine beaches and the Grand Hyatt. Walk and listen to the surf at Shipwreck beach (5 min walk), enjoy boogie boarding at a nearby Brennecke's Beach (8 min. walk), go snorkeling with lifeguards on duty at Poipu Beach Park (10 min.) or take surf lessons at Sheraton Beach (15 min.). Walk to the Grand Hyatt Resort (5 min walk). Treat yourself to a massage at the Anara Spa or play golf at the nearby Poipu Bay Golf Club (one of Tiger Woods' favorite) - all of this within walking distance.

We really enjoyed our week at Hale Kai Kea. The house is so beautiful and comfortable. We joined two other couples on our vacation, and each couple enjoyed a separate suite with our own bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped with cookware and dishes, there are coolers and beach chairs available in the shed in back, and the outdoor grill was great to have as well. We also made good use of the large living room, two outdoor decks and lovely front porch. As for the location, it was within easy walking distance to Poipu Beach, where green turtles and monk seals are common sights, and the swimming and surfing are fantastic. Other nearby attractions include Makuawaki Cave, Secret Beach and the Allerton/McBryde Gardens. Highly recommend!

This place is spacious with four large bedrooms and three full bathrooms which allowed for seven adults and a baby to stay comfortably together. It is a ten minute walk to Poipu beach one direction and ten minutes to Shipwreck beach the other direction. The community pool is nice with a large hot tub.

The house was in a lovely nieghborhoos where you could walk or take a short drive to beaches. The house was a good size for our party of seven adults. Beds seemed clean and had nice kitchen dishes. But otherwise the house was very dated and cleanliness, upkeep less than ideal. Living room was not thoroughly vacuumed (chips on rug), dining chair cushions were wet. A few dead bugs…. Paint was peeling on cabinets and wood work. . Property manager was responsive to complaints.

This property met our basic needs and the location was excellent. Close to several great beaches, eating establishments, etc. There are a couple of things that we feel need to be addressed by management: The house and cabinets, etc. are in a state of disrepair. Paint is literally peeling from the cabinets in the kitchen, and there were existing stains on the carpet throughout the house. Also, renters beware that there is no A/C. Nights were pretty miserable, despite having the windows open and the fans blowing.
