Starting Monday, July 17, 2023 the work on the new wastewater plant will begin at Hono Kai. It is expected to be completed by September 11, 2023. Work will be performed between Mondays and Fridays from 8am to 5pm every week until completed. During this time, the east parking lot (Ocean side) needs to be vacated during the day from the Monkey Pod tree down to Building #1.

Just steps to one of Maui's largest stretches of semi-sheltered, family friendly, white sand beach! Enjoy swimming and snorkeling within feet of the resort. From the grounds of this oceanfront resort, watch the sun rise from behind Mt. Haleakala and the beautiful sunsets with the twinkle lights of Kihei and Mt. Haleakala in the distance. The resort is south facing, allowing endless hours of whale watching opportunities (in season), without having to leave the resort area. Enjoy morning coffee with garden views from your private lanai.

Hono Kai B15 is a clean and bright one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking meals in-house. This home sleeps four, with a Queen size bed and a comfortable Queen size sofa sleeper. The bathroom offers a shower/tub combination. This home stays cool with a single wall AC located between the main living area and the bedroom or use the quiet over-the-bed ceiling fan for a comfortable and restful sleep, all the while listening to the calming surf. Enjoy the common pool and the barbeque area right next to the ocean. There is an on-site coin operated laundry room. There are no resort or parking fees.

This condo comes equipped with TV, cable and complimentary WiFi and a landline with free local and long distance telephone calls in North America. My Perfect Stays provides a complimentary starter set of natural Maui made shampoo, conditioner, body soap and lotion.

Hono Kai B15 is located at Ma'alaea Bay, near many attractions, shops and restaurants. Walk to the Maui Ocean Center (Aquarium), take a sunset sail or whale watching tour from the nearby harbor, play miniature golf and more at Maui Golf & Sports Park, or shop at the Maui Harbor Shops. Ma'alaea Bay is located in central Maui, bringing you closer to many excursions such as Hana, Haleakala or Lahaina. Please also note, there is no elevator access at Hono Kai Resort. Please note this resort does not have elevators.

It was a decent stay. The bedding could have been washed a bit better and when we arrived there where ants on the curtains. However the overall location and condo was very good and made for pleasant stay. FYI if you need to contact my perfect stays during your trip make sure to input the +1 into phone number when dialing or you will be directed to a “Hot Singles” line.

Hawaii is Hawaii! Pros: location (steps to beach), clean with one exception, right size, responsive when needing to extend one day because of late night flight, good place to sit and watch sunset, quiet beach and not crowded Cons: a little more dated than pictured, windy location and not suitable if looking to snorkel, two used face masks under bed, limited space to swim because of rocks

The size of this place was perfect for a couple. It was very well appointed with everything needed for cooking. The little grocery Tradewinds a couple blocks away had all the basics we wanted for breakfasts, snacks, coffee, beer… The property is on a beautiful beach that you can walk for miles. The a/c worked well but we didn’t need it. The balcony had a bonus view of the beach from a distance. The property management company was very responsive (we had a question about getting on the wifi). Overall, great place to stay on Maui.
