Location! Location! Location! What an ideal spot!! Location is amazing! Wake and sleep to the ocean waves every day. It's next door to the Beach House restaurant and a small beach. Walking distance to The Shops at Kukuiula; lots of dining and shopping options. Less than a mile to Baby Beach; just over a mile to Poipu Shopping Village (also lots of dining & shopping options). The best stocked rental we've ever been in! From kitchen to bathroom to beach items. Not much room for groceries (two small shelves) but that's irrelevant compared to all the good stuff! The assistance from Garden Island Properties was great. Brenda was very helpful with answers. There was a minor problem with the closet safe and they had an on property assistance to the room in five minutes. Overall property is a bit old but it's very safe and very clean. And this unit is modern and up to date. Guests need to sign in to a book in the lobby upon arrival (arrival / departure date, car license plate) and that the parking pass is in the unit with the keys. There is no washer / dryer in the unit (washer / dryer on each floor near the elevators; also change machine and laundry supplies vending machine) and no pool. But, again, irrelevant compared with everything that's good! It was a heavenly vacation spot and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
The condo was excellent! The views of the turtles were amazing. Never seen so many at one time. Condo was equipped and ready for anything you would need during your stay. Had great snorkeling right on the beach next to the condo. Very safe and friendly staff.
We had a fantastic vacation at Kuhio shores. The location is perfect - short hop from the airport - very close to Poipu Beach and the Port Allen - for the Napali coast tour boat. The unit is well appointed - we used everything - snorkel/beach gear as well as all of the amenities. We LOVED the place!

Beautiful oceanfront view condo. Had a wonderful experience and in an excellent location. Had a couple issues that the staff was very attentive to with professionalism. Would recommend this as a great place to stay while visiting Kuai.
We really enjoyed our stay at this comfy condo. It was well-equipped and spotlessly clean. This unit is on the top floor, which is the best for turtle watching and whale spotting! The A/C was a nice feature, when winter sun streamed in.
Would stay again!
One note: the listing mentions laundry amenities, but they are outside the condo in a common area, coin-op. We would have stayed anyway had we known, but might have planned things differently since we were washing cloth diapers every day.

We stayed in Nbr 412. It was awesome. The view is amazing, the unit, was spotless and well stocked. The property overall is well maintained.
This was my first experience on VRBO and with this vendor. From booking to checkout it was just so easy. Garden Island Rentals kept me informed at just the right amount throughout the process.
The unit was exactly as described - perfect. Start with the ocean view from the balcony. We sat out there for a lot of time. All our sunrises, breakfasts and most of our evenings. We saw at least 4 sea turtles every day feeding in the basalt reef. Surfers were out there too.
The kitchen in the unit had everything you could ever need. Every cupboard with filled with items. Including manuals for every appliances. They supplied two big binders as well. One with listings for restaurants and one with additional info for the condo.
The living room couch and chairs were very comfortable and the eat in area was perfect for the two of us.
I've never used the split style A/C but it was more than adequate. We were there during a period of very high heat and humidity and the units covered it all. We only had the bedroom unit on when going to bed. We turned of the living unit when going out and it would have the unit cooled down nicely within 10 minutes of putting it back on.
The kitchen cupboards weren't the only place with everything you could use. The hall cupboard had beach supplies and lots of other useful items. We used the beach supplies at the local beach as well as Poipu beach.
The bed was comfortable and we slept well.The unit was spotless. We didn't see one insect!
Fantastic property! Great views from lanai. Easy access around Kauai. Only wish the stay could be longer.

We have stayed at Kuhio Shores on many occasions but this condo is now our favorite by far! It has everything you need for a perfect stay on Kauai. The owners are very thoughtful and didn't skimp on the amenities! And Island Garden Rentals was always there to answer any questions we had. And they made our Anniversary trip very special with beautiful flowers when we got to the condo! The most amazing view you will every get along with surfers every day. We even saw a huge rainbow. Mix that with the turtles and you have a great experience! I am already planning our next trip! Thank you for such great hospitality!
I loved my stay at the condo. So clean. Had everything I needed to enjoy my stay, and of course, the ocean! Wow, what a view! Loved waking up early in the morning listening to the waves crash up against the rocks. I would definitely stay there again.

Unique in that we got 12 inches of rain in 12 hours. The view is extraordinary and the location cannot be beat. The sliding screen door to the balcony is totally shot and needs to be replaced. the bathroom needs an update.

The owner has thought of just about everything a guest could require. Condo is thoroughly furnished and most comfortable. There are all sorts of beach supplies - chairs, coolers, boogie boards, beach umbrellas, etc. The condo staff are all good people and most accommodating. It's a great place to stay!

Our 3 week trip to Hawaii consisted of 5 different vacation rentals on 3 islands. Kuhio Shores #412 was our favorite! This unit is not only beautiful and very well located, but the owners have thought of every single possible thing a visitor may need or want. A vase of fresh flowers and a personalized note greeted us. The kitchen was FULLY stocked. The beach accessories were amazing, consisting of high quality chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, towels and a large beach bag. The hall closet had many extras as well, such as a first aid kit and organized containers of those random home necessities you often tend to need. There were even old, throw away cloths to use for cleaning muddy hiking boots! The Sleep Number bed was very comfortable. Many evenings were spent on the balcony watching the multitude of surfers. The binoculars provided were very helpful! We discovered some of these amazing athletes were children! You don't want to miss this! When we return to Kauai we will schedule our travel dates around the availability of this unit.

Perfect location, stunning ocean views. The only thing I would have said needing addressed is the carpet in the condo. There should not be carpet in the tropical climate. There was a musty smell in the condo. The view made up for it, and everything else was great!

No one ever told us there would be drilling being done on our balcony during the entire time of our stay. We are terribly disappointed that the renters were evidently so money-hungry that they chose not to be honest and let us know about the drilling prior to our arrival. We will never stay in Kuhio Shores again and will recommend to our many friends and relatives that they do the same.

This was our third time staying at this condo and every time we are just in awe of the view. You are guaranteed to see sea turtles surfing the waves every day, that never gets old. We loved snorkeling at Lawai Beach in the morning and seeing many tropical fish and of course more turtles. The location is great, with easy walking to several restaurants and shops, and a quick drive to Poipu Beach.The condo is well stocked with beach essentials- chairs, umbrella, coolers, towels and even snorkel gear. Highly recommend staying here.
