Kona Coffee Estate Guest Apartment with Ocean and Garden Views
Our estate is situated on the slopes of Mt. Hualalai on the Big Island of Hawaii. We are located just 15 minutes from the Kona Airport, 10 minutes from the quaint coastal town of Kailua-Kona, 10 minutes from the artists’ village of Holualoa, and also 10 minutes from Costco! We are at a comfortable 1500' elevation in the Kona Coffee growing corridor. We have over 100 Kona Coffee trees on our property, along with papayas, avocados, bananas, pineapples, and tangerines that we will share with you when in season.
Separate from the main house on the estate and above the garage, we offer a private, peaceful, Hawaiian motif 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment with fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, and bamboo floors throughout. There is high speed wireless Internet throughout the apartment , and a 43” smart TV with free Netflix in the living room.
There is a queen bed in the bedroom, and a Euro lounge sofa/bed that converts into a 46' x 78' bed (almost full size) in living room, with all linens supplied. The bathroom has a large walk-in tiled shower with plenty of bath and beach towels supplied for your use. The bedroom and kitchen have views overlooking the ocean.
The large sunny living room extends onto your large private lanai through 16' sliding glass doors overlooking the lush gardens & greenbelt. There is a gas BBQ, and dining table with 4 chairs on the lanai. Watch the native birds and the occasional wild pigs stroll by!
The unit is perfect for 1 couple +, maximum 4 persons (check convertible bed size), but not suitable for toddlers. Overall square footage, including lanai is 816 sq. ft. It is not handicap accessible as there are stairs up to the apartment.
You are also welcome to enjoy the gazebo anytime which overlooks the estate, harbor, and Pacific Ocean. It is especially nice at sunset.
There are laundry facilities available for your use in the apartment. There is also a drying rack. Beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, and coolers are also available for your use.
Kailua-Kona has several world renowned events, including the Ironman Triathlon in October, and the International Billfishing Tournament in August, along with ongoing outdoor athletic events. Everything was perfect! Such a nice relaxing place to stay. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen stocked with everything you need. Beautiful views. Cool comfortable nights. The noise from the frogs was even soothing at night for the 3 nights we were there but can see how it would be a nuisance for some. Highly recommend Donnas place.

Very nice, well equipped cottage. Excellent location just a few minute drive to Kona but feels far away from the hustle/bustle. Amazing sunsets!

Only two nights at this sweet retreat. We would have loved to have stayed longer. It's as exactly as described. You'll find everything you need. Check in was easy and welcoming. We were left some treats, fruits and coffee from the owner's property. Lovely sunsets from the gazebo.

All I can say is we were stunned at the beautiful grounds which include lush gorgeous foliage and a small little Kona coffee farm. The apartment is spacious, airy and a perfect place to relax overlooking the hills of Kona with a breathtaking view down to the ocean . We enjoyed the balcony and also the little patio deck downstairs every morning and evening.
The hosts Donna & Robbie are ever so accommodating and the space is thoughtfully stocked with the comforts of home. Make sure and check out the guidebook 'the Big Island Revealed' and the fun notes compiled by a local. They both were great collections of info for visitors.
Bonus points for the adorably friendly little black cat and white cat cruising around the property.
We can't wait to come back!

This place has everything we needed, plus great sunset views and hospitality. We enjoyed the tropical feel of the property including the frog sounds at night. Kitchen was well stocked and beds were comfortable. Air conditioning was not needed. We would love to stay there again!

The apartment was cute and clean. Lovely flowers surrounded the property, the view was amazing and the COFFEE was incredible! We really enjoyed our stay here, it was peaceful and quite. The night sounds were pleasant, and we had no need for ear plugs. I would rent here again and recommend this apartment to anyone.

This property provided a fun experience for us to be surrounded by nature while also being near things to do. Our stay was short but we appreciated the fully-stocked kitchen and bathroom, beach supplies and of course the home grown coffee and fruit. We did admittedly overlook the lack of AC, but the bedroom cooled off quickly after the sun went down and through the night. Dining outside for breakfast with views of the ocean and watching the sunset from the overlook were highlights.

Beautiful, comfortable unit, complete with private gazebo. Friendly owners, quick to respond to questions. Laundry facilities are a nice bonus! Nighttime serenade was unexpected, but actually enjoyable. Only spent 2 nights, but would happily stay again!

This 1bd unit was adorable and perfect for me and my friend! Great for a couple! The property itself was beautiful with garden, coffee orchard and ocean view! Everything upgraded and super nice! Close to Kailua town, but far enough away to be private. Owners were super friendly and helpful, also far enough away for privacy, but there if needed. Adorable kitty(s) that does not bother. Beautiful property and experience! Would definitely stay here again!
