Centrally located, My Hawaii Vacation Rental, "Kona Luana", is within a ten minute walk of Kailua-Kona Village. There are many attractions some of which include Kailua-Kona pier, variety of dinning options, waterfront shopping, Farmers Market, coffee shops and friendly locals. Kona Luana is about 10 miles south of Kona Airport and about a 1 hour drive to volcano park. A forty-five minute drive to Manua Kea and about a two hour drive to Hilo. There's plenty to do if you have the time, anything from scuba diving, snorkeling, sport fishing, biking, hiking, horse back riding and whole bunch more. Major stores are minutes away, Costco, Walmart, Safeway, Macy's, Home Depot, Cinemas and much more.
Kona Luana is a unique 3 story condominium older unit directly on the water. Don't let the outside fool you. Unit 1 is on the first floor and is not a rental but used as art studio, rarely open.. Unit 2 and Unit 3 are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. both opposite each other, both of which have the identical floor plan and both completely remodeled.
Living room: Includes High Speed Wi-Fi Internet, Direct TV, a large 65' High Definition Samsung flat screen. A office desk, New couch purchased 5/13/2022. A breath taking 180 degree view of Kahului Bay that is only feet away. The living room has a new Air Conditioner and ceiling fans, just in case you need them. Also, all new flooring on both floors. A work desk and chair along with a wi-fi printer.
Kitchen: The kitchen was remodeled in 2008. Wood cabinets, corian counter-tops, a new dish washer (1/2023), refrigerator (2019), micro wave and range, completely equipped with every kitchen cooking and eating utensil you can think of. The kitchen also has a private lanai overlooking Alii Drive.
Master Bedroom: New, King size bed, purchased 5/13/2022. One large closet for guests, ceiling fan, window unit air conditioning, large Samsung 55" flat screen TV with DirecTV. This bedroom has an Incredible ocean view with private lanai. and lanai furniture and table. Relax and watch all the water activities during the day, or in the evening gaze at the stars or beautiful Hawaiian sunsets.
Master Bathroom: remodeled in 2014 tiling, tub and shower, dark wood cabinets, low profile toilet and new fixtures.
2nd. Bedroom: Second bedroom has two NEW, twin beds purchased 5/13/2022, stand up air-conditioner unit, a ceiling fan and large closet.

This place is fantastic! Best oceanfront property imaginable. One lanai overlooking the main road/hills, and TWO overlooking the ocean. We could see fish in the surf and we saw spinner dolphins. The apartment is comfy, inviting and well appointed. Close to town. It does require the use of stairs, but we were well aware of that from the property description, and also we liked it so much, this was a return visit. If you want to be close to the ocean you can't get much closer without being in it. We love it!

This was our first time staying on Hawaii in the Kona area. The property was very clean and well equipped for cooking, eating, and sleeping. The view of the ocean from the porches was lovely, and we spent a lot of time out there. The property is located in an area of busy traffic, but the parking arrangement worked well, and the property was convenient to many businesses and attractions that vacationers would tend to visit. Noise was not excessive. I'm glad we chose this VRBO.

The location was close to everything and very clean when we got there. The owner was AMAZING about getting back to us very quickly about everything. The wifi, tvs, view, yhe kitchen was great and perfectly stocked and master bedroom were great.
There were a couple cons, but they were minor. The guest bedroom is dark, bland and the beds were pretty hard. The house is on a main road so the guest room and downstairs hear the constant traffic and it can be a lil much during high traffic times. Lastly, the 1st morning we woke to some small bugs on the kitchen table and surrounding floor. It freaked me out, but i cleaned it up and called the owner. He offered a bug spray, but due to my sons breathing condition and my severe allergies we could not use it. The owner was great and tried to find alternative options. It was a random situation and he really tried to rectify it.
I would highly recommend this property, especially for family stay.

This is a good private and spacious oceanfront place to stay on the Big Island. It's close to beaches and shopping. The view and sunsets are spectacular!
There was an issue with a broken washer during the stay. The owner tried to have it replaced during our stay but it wasn't able to happen. The two windows AC units struggle to keep things cool but they work.
The outside furniture is very worn, the lounger upstairs had a large hole in the cushion. Not sure if it was an oversight by the house keeper but there were no trash bags, tissues or paper towels.
Overall the location, dedicated parking and size made this a good place to stay.
