Starting Monday, July 17, 2023 the work on the new wastewater plant will begin at Hono Kai. It is expected to be completed by September 11, 2023. Work will be performed between Mondays and Fridays from 8am to 5pm every week until completed. During this time, the east parking lot (Ocean side) needs to be vacated during the day from the Monkey Pod tree down to Building #1.

Enjoy ten miles of pristine, white sandy beach just steps from your condo! This ocean front condo offers ocean views with views of Haleakala and Kaho'olawe in the distance! In the evening, relax with beautiful sunsets over Ma'alaea Bay, followed by the twinkling lights of Kihei at dusk.

Hono Kai A6 is a ground floor, one-bedroom condo just a few short steps to the pool and close proximity to the ocean. This home stays cool with a single window AC located between the main living area and the bedroom. As well as ceiling fans and tile flooring. Cook meals in-house with the fully equipped and remodeled kitchen. This home sleeps four, with a Queen size bed in the bedroom and a Queen size sleeper sofa in the living area.

Hono Kai Resort is located at Ma'alaea Bay, near many attractions, shops and restaurants. Ma'alaea is located in central Maui, bringing you closer to many excursions such as Hana or Haleakala.

Enjoyed my stay. Condo was on first floor, by the pool and view of ocean. Very comfortable. Appreciated the supplies provided such as dishes, silverware, pots and pans. Paper towels, dishwasher pods. Pay laundry across the hallway. Very clean. Lanai very comfortable to sit and enjoy. When I first checked in, took a few hours for Wi-Fi to appear as a selection. Very good communication prior to trip.
