    - South Shore 35 -This spacious home features a large sunken living room and stunning ocean views. South Shore 35 has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, and a large beach front lanai with plenty of spots for dining and relaxing. The ocean side of the home has multiple sliding doors that can be opened completely to the outdoors and trade winds. Other amenities include central air conditioning, beach front jacuzzi, ultra high speed wi-fi (up to 400 Mbps), televisions in every bedroom, plenty of on site parking, and a bbq grill. This is a private house; no other home, tenant or caretaker is on this property. The house sleeps a maximum of 15 guests, please see below for a detailed description of the bedrooms.

    - The Beach - The beachfront side of the home has a grass yard that spills down to a private beach, accessible only by the few upscale homes located nearby. The water is calm and shallow, making it perfect for those with little ones in tow. Stand up boarding and kayaking are excellent here, and you may find yourself paddling along side schools of fish, manta rays, sea turtles and even dolphins. To swim simply put on reef shoes and walk past the coral until you reach deep water. Fishing is great from the shallow coral area. In summer season you can surf in front of the house at the break known as "Secrets".

    - The Neighborhood - Hawaii Kai is an upscale residential neighborhood in eastern Honolulu. It is very safe and family friendly. Nearby you will find plenty of grocery stores, including Whole Foods and Costco, drug stores, casual dining, upscale restaurants and local boutiques. Haunama Bay is a few minutes down the street for snorkeling, other nearby activities include hiking, parasailing, jet skiing, hang gliding, and golfing. The home is located close to major highway access so is a convenient starting point for day trips. Waikiki is 7 miles away, the airport is 13 miles, and Pearl Harbor 16.

    House was great. Reviews said Not stocked well but we disagree completely. It was more stocked than we have had b4. I had Walmart deliver lots of things that were already there to use. Cleaning supplies, laundry pods, toilet paper … that would really have lasted our entire stay. Dish washing liquid , hand soap etc. yes it is busy road but big mirror to help you pull out. Could use some deeper cleanings in bathrooms etc, however it wasn’t a deterrent as it was beautiful and worked well for our family.

    We had a great experience staying at this property. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. Plenty of room for all of us to relax indoors or outdoors and we used the hot tub as it was colder and rainy during our stay. It’s a beautiful view but there are a lot of shells on the beach so you need footwear. We didn’t swim in the ocean as the water wasn’t as clear or pretty as other parts of the island. We opted to go to the north shore for snorkeling and beach time. The kitchen was fairly well stocked. We opted to purchase plastic cups and plates as we just didn’t want to continue to do dishes but we ate a lot of meals “in.” Plenty of paper towel, TP, detergent, etc. which we didn’t expect but was a nice surprise. Other rentals we’ve stayed don’t have these items stocked. The location is nice that it’s outside the really busy city areas. However it is on a busier highway than we expected and was a little tricky getting in and out of the driveway. The road noise was louder during peak hours but wasn’t too much of a bother as we got used to it. Again, all minor things. Overall it was a fantastic stay and absolutely no issues. Easy to check in and out.

The fact you could walk out back door right on the beach was so convenient. Sunsets were 10/10. Backyard overall: chairs, hot tub, lawn- all awesome. You can hear the road traffic from inside the house, which didn’t bother me at all until nighttime when trying to sleep. The largest concern for our group was the cleanliness of the house. The pictures of this home are beautiful, but they must be old pictures because the house was dirty, so bad I wouldn’t stay here again. Some examples: theoff-white tile in one of the bathrooms you could only see in the corners, otherwise it was dark brown/black and dirty. One of the showers had black mold in the seams. There were two geckos in the sunroom (one green one brown). A HUGE June bug in the master bedroom so we had to pick up the bed to get it, under the bed has maybe never been cleaned before, disgusting. Dust piling up so bad you could visibly see it on the beams in sunroom. The vents in the house had dust build up as well. Sheets in one of the beds and a towel had a hole in them. Sock under two different beds from previous renters. Ants in the back bed/bedroom. The couches as well as chairs in kitchen all were stained from previous renters. I can understand wear and tear but they were beyond what would be acceptable. House needs a deep clean for sure. Some other things to note: -One of the ceiling fans must have been uneven so noisy you couldn’t even use - one of the toilet seats was falling off - one of the pocket doors missing a handle - no rugs in any bathrooms or inside any doors - batteries were missing out of a remote - no soup in one of the bathrooms and in kitchen
