Located in the heart of the Princeville resort community, this condo is near a walking path, the hotel, the library, the Makai Golf Course and Princeville Shopping Center. There is a fitness center right in the complex. The beautiful white sand beaches for which Kauai's north shore is famous are a short drive away. Other activities nearby include helicopter tours, horseback riding, zipline adventures, hiking and a seabird refuge.

Shopping and dining are available right in Princeville as well as Kilauea and neighboring Hanalei. The charming town of Hanalei a few minutes away offers vintage, plantation-style architecture, a collection of eclectic shops and an array of eateries.

Beyond Hanalei is Haena and the end of the road. You'll enjoy gorgeous scenery along the way and, if you feel like hiking, you can find the trailhead for the Kalalau Trail off the parking lot at Ke'e Beach.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a wonderful week in Kauai. Our visit brought my family of 4 and an additional couple of friends to this paradise island. The stay at Plantation was perfect for us. Each day we would hit a different beach, hike, or excursion and return back to a perfect setting of the Plantation where we could relax for an hour or two by the pool, cook up some food in the kitchen, or at the pool and unwind. Everything that wa needed for cooking was readily available. The location made exploring the North shore easy and we planned for a couple of days to head to the other side of the island, with no more than a two hour drive each way. The unit that we were in was very clean, had plenty of space for 6 people, and having 3 restrooms was nice. Some beach supplies were available in the garage (chairs,umbrellas, a cooler) that made us more comfortable. Princeville is a quiet resort town with plenty of walking trails and conveniences. It was a quick drive into Hanalei for additional shopping and dining. Overall, our group was extremely pleased with our choice to stay Plantation 1521 and would definitely return.

I love the Plantation. I’ve stayed there many times. It has a great location and is easily accessible to everything on the north shore. Also love that every room has its own bathroom!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good. Stayed here before. No extra sheets or blankets this time for sofa sleeper. Biggest inconvenience is the key pick up and drop off. While it’s close to airport nothing moves fast on the roads in Kauai. It adds at least 45 minutes each way. There should be another alternative. Previously when this unit was rented we used the lockbox. It’d be great if that process could return.

The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. Clean and comfortable as well. Look forward to our next stay.

It is a nice 2nd floor unit with garage.The large AC unit in the living area was enough to cool the whole unit. The carpet could use shampooing or replacement. The garbage trunk comes about 730am. Otherwise the unit was great and the area was peaceful.

It was a perfect stay. We had 2 small issues and the Property Manager took care of them immediately. The carpet could use upgrading but we would definetly stay here again. Mahalo

There were 3 couples and the 3 bedroom 3 bath accommodations were perfect. Quiet neighborhood, beautiful landscaping, very comfortable. Close to everything North Shore and conveniently located near the main highway. Highly recommend!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall great condo and great complex. Loved the pool and the location. Loved everything about the insite of the condo, however, no one told us the entire condo complex would be getting new roofs and paint so we were woken up early each morning by roofers and every time we left the condos the painters were all over us asking if they could paint the doorway and things. That was annoying!

The location was perfect--quiet neighborhood with a quick drive to beaches or into town for restaurants and souvenir shopping. We loved the extra space. The management was super helpful in letting us book an extra half day so we could stay till our late flight out of Kauai.
