Beautiful location with an ocean view! Easy check in and out! Great location. You cannot swim in the ocean, but it’s still beautiful! We loved watching the moon rise in the evening!

Condo was in a great location on Kauai. Beds were comfortable and condo unit was a nice size. Kitchen space was nice to have. Bathroom could use updating but was honestly fine. We spent most of our time outdoors and just slept and showered at the unit.

The room is by the seaside with a great view, but there are some ants. The air conditioner in the bedroom is very noisy, and the cooling in the living room relies on a fan. The equipment is outdated.

The refrigerator didn't work on arrival and it took 1 & 1/2 days to get on that was smaller than 1/2 the size of the failed one. The toilet kept running unless we jiggled the handle to make it stop and there is mold in the caulk in the shower/tub. The TV has thin black lines that run vertical through the picture. AC in the bedroom was great and the bed is very comfortable. No AC in the living room is an issue during a hot muggy month(July).
We got a notice on the door that a spray company would be coming to spray inside the unit, for ants and cockroaches the next day, so we had to get the food put away and all our belongings (golf, snorkel gear, suitcases etc...off the floors and covered so they wouldn't get the poison from the spray company.The pool looks like it has never been updated, it was swimmable though. The laundry room was ugly and dated and had one washer out of order, and it $2.00 for wash/$1.75 to dry. The waterfront was a nice view. The Lemongrass Restaurant across the highway has good food.
We spent most of our time on the island exploring, so did not have an opportunity to enjoy many of the facilities or amenities, but the location cannot be beat! The views from the lanai were break taking and perfect for sunrise! The room was clean and well kept, the air conditioner in the bedroom was a nice touch that not all Hawaii homes have. There are also ample restaurants, beaches, and other activities within walking distance. I would highly recommend this spot to others, regardless of whether you plan to use it as a place to sleep and travel from or a place to stay and relax.

We enjoyed our week long stay at Kapaa Shores. The location is great, very walkable. We saw gorgeous sunrises from the oceanfront balcony. It was nice that there were beach towels, beach chairs and a small cooler for taking down to the beach. The condo was well stocked with everything we needed.
Beautiful modernized unit in an older development. All features were as described, and accessories were provided. However, the hot tub was not operational for most of the week, and it appeared that no effort was being made to repair it
Also, with no AC, sleeping with windows open was required, but the feral crowing roosters wandering the property beginning at 4 AM and continuing every ~20 mins. made sleeping in the early morning hours nearly impossible. Not returning to Kauai because of this

Property was great with exception of the hot tub that was under repair throughout our entire 11 day stay. The condo is within a Worldmark resort property. The communication could have been better as lengthy repairs I’m thinking would be scheduled with some level of predictability. Condo had everything we needed durning our stay. The sunrises are amazing and the atmosphere is chill. Can walk to anything you need from the condo which was nice. Definitely get out and see as much of the island as you can, it is very beautiful. There are several state parks that require advance reservations along with any tour or luau you maybe interested. Best to book these activities in advance of your stay(arrival to the island by at lease a couple of weeks) to help guarantee participation during your stay. Aloha!

Kapaa Shore Resort is in a very good location to see the whole island of Kauai. It is close to supermarkets, modest restaurants, and fast food chains. Very clean complex. Easy to visit the North of Kauai as well as the South. Do not expect high end restaurants in Kapaa. There aren't any. The Indian restaurant across the street offers very good food. Expect high prices for everything. The apartment is very clean, has whatever one needs as far as utensils are concerned, and beach towels and chairs. Comfortable bed. Beautiful view. There is a portable air condition in the living room, with no central air condition. This was not an issue in December when I was there, but I imagine it would be a problem in the bedroom during summer. I needed no assistance during my stay since I faced no problems in the condo. This was my second stay in the complex, I will do it again and I recommend it to all.
Upon arrival, hot water was not on, and cable TV didn't work. Had to have maintenance turn water heater on and had Spectrum cable for 2 hours to fix TV connection.
