The location of the unit is wonderful. The management folks were responsive and a pleasure to work with. The unit is dated and in need of some attention, but it was comfortable and well stocked. It has AC, but we never needed it.
Truly a wonderful stay in Hawaii. This place is all about the location! Beautiful sunsets every day. The grounds are gorgeous. The condo was very clean. Could use some updating and the twin beds are fine for kids, but not great for adults due to old box springs. The price was great for this amazing location.
We enjoyed our stay. The pool was close. Walking distance from beautiful beaches with beautiful sea life. Even swan with a turtle. Definitely will book again in our next visit
Arriving, we found the 'Storm Doors' up and a 2" cockroach in the kitchen, which I killed. This condo has large, storm doors that are erected anytime there is high surf.These doors completely block your view of the ocean in the living room and kitchen. These doors were up the entire next day. They were taken down the day after that. The following week they were up again for a day due to high surf warning (the ocean was calm).On Day 2 there was a fly hatch-out, with 10-12 house flies buzzing about. After swatting them all that day, the same thing occurred on Day 3, with a similar fly swatting session ensuing. (Condo does not come with a fly swatter)We had a water leak under the kitchen sink which wasn't fixed until two days later due to a complex-wide water shutdown the day the leak was discovered. About halfway thru the trip, a smoke detector in the master bedroom began to 'chirp' in the middle of the night due to a low battery. The patio set, which is old, with legs of the chairs rusting away is completely missing a fourth chair. The upstairs shower doors are so old they barely function and make you wonder if they will fall out when moved.The window in the bathroom does not stay open and will slam shut intermittently.The headboards to the twin beds upstairs are connected to nothing and fall over when the beds are moved. The condo is 920 sq feet. Divided by two floors, this place is small!Beds are very uncomfortable.Mngmt responded to texts quickly.
The property is beautiful. fantastic location. The place has everything you need.Very clean, could use some updates, but what it lacked in updates it fulfilled everywhere else. Had a wonderful time

Location, location, location couldn’t have been any better or closer to the ocean. Nothing better than seeing and hearing the beautiful ocean right outside your patio door. We enjoyed and loved every minute of our stay. The condo was nice, but it definitely is in need of some TLC. The ‘wear n’ tear’ shows and a ‘refresh’ would be nice. We we’re grateful for the AC.
This property has everything you'll need for a great Hawaii vacation stay. Everything was as advertised. The unit could use some updating, but overall, we loved the unit. Grocery shopping just a short five-minute drive away and an awesome farmers market near the grocery store on Saturday mornings. The complex grounds were beautiful, and we would book this unit for any future stays in Kona.

Walk out the sliding glass door and you can see beautiful sunsets every night. Another great thing that this rental has is air conditioning in every room. There are a few things that do need upgrades which I included to management when they asked.

We stayed here Jan 10 - Mar 13. This property is all about the view. The condo itself is dated, but that is why its an affordable ocean front condo. Management was very helpful and had repairs done quickly. Its a small condo, two guest are comfortable, and four would be the max. Some newer more comfy furniture would help a lot. Due to high surf warnings, we boarded up 15 days on and off the first 4 weeks. Air conditioning, new floors and fresh paint were appreciated. Could use new pots and pans. Needs a loveseat or chair and ottoman to go with the one couch to provide more seating area. Great private beach 5 minute walk next door. Shopping center about 1/4 mile away has everything you need. Only 5 miles to downtown Kona. Overall enjoyed are stay, mainly because of the closeness and great view of the ocean.

Having AC is extremely helpful and it worked really well. It was very nice to have beach towels provided and have a washing machine at the unit. We enjoyed the complex and played drop-in pickleball with other visitors from 8 to 9:30 AM every morning.
We also used the tennis courts in the pool extensively. You could walk to a private beach which was really nice.
The only downside that we found was there wasn’t enough toilet paper provided. I would think at the price point they would provide more toilet paper and not be stingy on this resource. You might want to bring some of your own if you book here.
Also, we were absolutely stunned that the company that handles the booking of this unit was not able to provide a map of the compound before our stay. I got the sense that they manage thousands of units in dozens of states and they don’t even know what state you’re in. If they had any true connection to this unit, they would easily be able to provide a map of the compound (showing where this unit is located) which is located in the binder in the unit itself.

When looking for this place what sold us was the twin beds for our twins in second bedroom as most have a queen. It was right on ocean amazing sunsets and our daughter used the hideabed. The complex has a great pool and is a 10 minute walk to a great snorkeling beach and we did surfing lessons on the same beach. White sandy beautiful beaches are 30 min to an hour drive away. It's like 7 minutes to town and 15 minutes to Costco. There is also a grocery store a minute away. The condo was well equipped in kitchen and had cooler, Boogie boards chairs and snorkeling equipment for beach which was an awesome bonus. Check in was easy. Would definitely stay again
This end unit location has beautiful ocean views from several rooms. There is no beach but a gorgeous lava rock wall. There is a pool, tennis and pickle ball courts. The grounds are very well maintained. There is a small shopping center within walking distance with a grocery store and a couple of restaurants. The condo was well equipped, plenty of dishes, pots, pans, and appliances. The washer and dryer are located outside in an attached locked shed. The master bedroom bed was perfect. The other room had two beds that were ok, the kids said they were a little soft and bouncy. We completely enjoyed our stay but if you are the type to prefer that everything is brand new and perfect, you might not. The upstairs bathroom could use a little refresh. It wasn’t anything that stopped us from having great stay. It reminded me of staying at a friend’s place, that happens to be in the middle of paradise.

The view is very beautiful and the sound of the ocean all day and night we loved. We were as happy about the inside of condo. When we arrived and walked in it was a disappointment for the price we paid. The size was definately small and the condo reminded us of the 1980's because of the old look of it and some of the furnishings as well were old looking. Kitchen was to small for even 2 people to be together cooking. The cleanliness could have been better , maybe it was because the condo is old and needs alot of updating into the modern world. I would not recommend this condo to anyone unless updated and some things get fixed. I may have paid to stay at #176 but dpent most of our time at other condo there that my family rented which were beautiful and same price. I was disapointed to see what others got in my family for same price and I got and old, 80's small semi clean condo. There were 6 other condos rented by my siblings and they definately got there money's worth.

Not far from all the beautiful beachfront shops either. The unit is a little dated in some areas and the metal is starting to rust on things given it’s proximity to the ocean. There were other minor issues with the property but nothing I wanted needed fixed while we were here. The texting with management is the best I’m sure they also respond to calls but I prefer text and they were prompt and attentive and assured the minor repairs I mentioned would be attended to after I checked out. Kitchen had everything we needed. The bad: the master bedroom bed is way to firm in my opinion and the chairs in the livingroom are uncomfortable(Great sofa though). The lanai has decent table and chairs but some comfy seating for wave watching and cute decore would be nice. Some redecorating inside could go a long way in this unit too. I thought the place was pretty nice, except for going up and down the stars to the bedrooms a lot. With my 81-year old metal I'll get a place on one story next time. But for a younger person with better knees it's good. Very nice to sleep with windows open and the noise of the waves against the shore. My wife like it less than I but warmed to it. Well maintained--recent new windows, tile-work, cabinets. We both give the swimming pool high marks. Problems: 1. 2nd bedroom needs cover on outlet--it's child dangerous at present. 5-minute fix. One living room black chair has arm coming apart--needs to be re-cemembed. But both are so uncomfortable that I'd replace them. Well-equipped kitchen, but all except one cooking pan are teflon--poison leaching into the food. My wife would replace them all with stainless steel. As for Knutson that handled payment -- unexpected last minute $200 charge was very poor show. And the man on phone when we asked about possible early check-in gets 1 out of 5 stars from me--borderline discourteous and almost snotty.
