We really enjoyed our stay here. Kids named the chicken that hangs around Hey-Hey. Tons of birds in the courtyard in morning hours. It’s well stocked and there was nothing we needed that wasn’t provided. Very comfortable and relaxing stay.
This house was beautifully furnished and we lacked nothing. We especially loved sitting in the lanai watching the waves roll in and listening to the waves all night. The furniture in the lanai, however, looked old and soiled, and wasn't very comfortable. This was a good location.

Amazing waterfront home. You can’t get any closer to oceanfront. Cozy two bedroom two bath home with bonus bunk beds. Beautifully remodeled kitchen, plenty of seating in the family room and on the lanai. Washer and dryer on site and all the supplies you need for a beach day.

This is a nicely appointed house. The kitchen was extremely nice, with top notch cutlery. We rented this for the view, and it did not disappoint. We didn't get into the water from the backyard, but you probably could if you're ok with waves and rocks. Their Mini splits did a great job in cooling whatever room we were in. The washer and dryer worked great, and it was nice to have a good assortment of beach items.Our only complaints were: 1) would have liked a table on the lanai to play games, and 2) the neighbors were both doing remodeling projects so we had to listen to saws and drills while relaxing on the lanai. Certainly wasn't the properties fault.We'd definitely use Kona Sunsets Vacatio rentals on our next visit.

This might have been the most comfortable rental we’ve stayed in as a family - the owners thought of everything and if anything the pictures don’t do it justice. Waking up to that view each morning was all the vacation I needed but we had a spectacular time on the Big Island. Exceptional property!
This house had a beautiful view of the ocean and we were able to watch the 4th of July fireworks from the house. Being close to town but a short distance away was perfect!

Great house, second year there, great location, new kitchen is lovely...however here are a few suggestions, the button next to kitchen sink should be marked it runs garbage disposal, which is so quiet you cannot tell it is on, kitchen is well supplied but could use smaller knives like steak knives or paring knives, outside deck furniture cushions are so old & worn hard to sit on, on the roof there are some shingles missing on west side of garage , directions for tv in living room are obsolete, and would really like a recycling bin

The view is amazing, the house is very comfortable and was well stocked. We had an issue right after we arrived. At 10 am on Saturday morning we were outside on the lanai having coffee and laughing. The neighbor came over and said we were too loud and he was going to call someone. We did not have music on or anything we were just laughing and chatting. I called the property manager and told him about the incident right away. Wayne the property manager was great to work with. We had a couple of houses rented as we had a few people in our family visiting the island. We stopped at the house to pick up people or to grab a cup of coffee or some food from time to time as we were not going to cook at both places. We did not have parties or wedding receptions or anything of that nature. The number of people staying in the house was 6 as per the contract. When I got home I did get a call from the property manager Wayne, saying that the neighbor had called the owners and the owners had called him. There was a complaint that we had too many people in the house and that we were too loud. I explained the situation again and all seems fine since we are no longer there (we were only there 1 week) but this has just been stressful. My sister and nephew have terminal cancer and this was to be the trip of a lifetime as it is probably the last trip we will take together. This incident caused stress and just really made our vacation unpleasant. Frankly to say that you cant have family over even for coffee or dinner is ridiculous. I understand not having parties etc. Anyway as much as I loved the house, view and location I would not rent this place again. I would work with Kona Sunset Vacation Rentals again as Wayne was professional, available and excellent to work with. I would just stay away from this particular house.

This house was located right on the water just South of Kailua-Kona. It is a great base location for exploring the island IF you can peel yourself out of the chairs on the lanai overlooking the water. The house is well stocked with items to use in the kitchen, as well as things to use at the beach like towels, chairs, umbrellas, and snorkels. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely return.

Well stocked home with everything you need. Short walk to downtown Kona. View from home is what you see on site. Very quiet location with plenty of room for 2 couples and 2 additional kids.

This is the perfect place to relax and unwind! This property is close to shopping, restaurants, and a grocery store if you would rather cook instead of going out to dinner. We witnessed beautiful sunsets and saw whales daily from the outdoor sitting area. We really enjoyed our stay here and look forward to visiting again.
We loved staying at this property. Although we did not walk to town, it was certainly doable.
The best part was enjoying the ocean right from the back deck! The home was also very well equipped.
