Beachfront on the east shore of Kauai, Pono Kai Resort is a centrally located Kauai vacation rental with easy access to the North or South shores of Kauai. Approximately 8 miles from the Lihue Airport, Pono Kai Resort is located in the town of historic Kapa'a. Situated on 13 tropical acres. This Kauai oceanfront condo is within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, boutiques and banks. Swim right on the beach front of Pono Kai Resort or lounge pool side and enjoy the outdoor spa and sauna. Barbecue stations are located throughout the property along w/laundry facilities in each building.
The Pono Kai Resorts east side location makes it easy to get to Kilauea Lighthouse, Hanalei Bay and Haena State Beach Park to the north or Poipu Beach to the south. Nearby attractions in Kapaa include Kealia Beach, Lydgate State Beach Park for snorkeling, Kamalani Playground with a "volcano tube", Sleeping Giant Hiking Trail, Wailua Falls, Opaeka'a Falls and the Fern Grotto boat ride are just a sample of what's available on Kauai's eastern shores.
Beachfront at an affordable price makes this Kauai condo a fantastic value. Humpback whales breaching can be seen from your private lanai during the months of November through April or walk along the shores early morning and you may be the first to discover a glass ball.

We had a lovely Vacation here! Loved the ocean wave sounds all night!Shops very close by, Safeway 1 block away. Kitchen well stocked andvery easy. We enjoyed the cooler and beach chairs daily at beautiful beach right outside our hotel room. Will def stay again!

The condo was clean and well stocked with towels, kitchen implements and appliances. We were very happy with the property and the location.The people in the condo directly above us were very noisy. We could hear every footstep and raised voices.I would recommend this property to a friend and suggest they bring ear plugs.

We had a beautiful and wonderful time. Our rental was all it said and more! The sunrise and sunsets on the ocean were fantastic. The little roosters were very friendly LoL. But that was all part of the experience. Close enough to walk into town. And the sound of the waves really were soothing. This is where I plan to come back many times.

Our ocean front condo was just as described and we enjoyed the month of February there. It is well laid out, well furnished, clean and plenty of supplies were available. Pono Kai is large but was quiet. We loved being able to walk to restaurants and shops nearby. We walked the oceanside path every day--it goes for miles. The management company was very good, always a fast response, and the website made communication easy. I would highly recommend this unit.

This is a great rental unit. It is nicely furnished. There were a lot of little extras that you sometimes don’t find, for reapplied there were 4 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, Kleenex in both a judge roll of trash sacks and extra rolls of paper towels. The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of dishes, glasses in all varieties, plenty of silverware. There were little extras here also like measuring cups.My only disappointment was there was no beach in front of the ocean front unit. The Pono Kai has lovely grounds and there was plenty of parking places..the rental company was great, when we had problems with the AC which was due to a powere outage, They did an excellent job of walking me through the restart.

Clearly among the best-located units at Pono Kai--only about 50 yards of grass and a paved walkway separate you from the ocean. So comfortable, I was tempted to just stay "home" for my entire stay.
Also, had two occasions to contact management with special requests and they were quick, friendly and positive in both cases.
