    DESCRIPTION - Maui Tourism Update - Oct 27, 2023

    While the horrible wildfires devastated and closed Lahaina to all tourists, Maui officials have announced that the rest of West Maui... Kaanapali and Napili, has now been reopened to tourists once again. Kihei, Wailea and the rest of the Island are also all open and available to tourist. If you would like to assist with the relief efforts in Maui to assist survivors, we suggest the "Maui Strong Fund" a local community organization who can move quickly.

    Our very private home, a spacious, 3,500 sq. ft. oceanfront estate, sits on 2/3rds of an acre. It has a large indoor living area, plus an expansive outdoor living area, a 1,000 sq. ft. covered ocean view terrace with a large seating area, a dining table seating up to 14. and a large Weber gas barbeque. The moment you enter the home, step out onto the huge lanai, take in the expansive ocean view, the beautiful tropical landscaping, and your own private pool, you know you've arrived somewhere special.

For larger groups the lower level of our home is available at the additional charge of $195 per night. and has a Great Room, which includes a living room, kitchen and eating area plus a separate bedroom and full ensuite bath. It sleeps 2 adults and three kids and brings the maximum guest total to 17 for both levels of the home. This optional lower level also offers you a the flexibility of adding it to your rental later, if your group becomes larger than originally planned. If you don't need the lower level, it will remain empty to maintain your privacy on the estate. You will always have exclusive use of the property.

    If your group is more than 17 we also have a beautiful 1,080 sq. ft., two-bedroom, two bath beachfront condo available about a half mile from our house, accommodating up to 6 guests. It is apartment G-10 at the Maalaea Surf Resort and photos of our condo are included on the resort's website.

    We totally enjoyed our stay. There were 16 of us and we all had plenty of room. We also rented the ohana and it was a perfect addition for our youngest daughter and her husband and family. We would definitely rent this place again. We all enjoyed sitting on the lanai and saw whales breaching a few times. It was so centrally located and very easy to get to. Just across the street was the beach and close to places to eat and shop. The kitchen allowed us to cook breakfast and dinner some evenings. The owner Rob and property manager Darell were both very easy to work with. Definitely would rent again. Thank you Rob and Darell. Mahalo

    The property had a magnificent view. Sugar beach was convenient and pool was nice. There was enough room for all my family. Enjoyed the backyard very much.

    We recently enjoyed a stay at a Kihei property that was overall very positive, largely due to the outstanding property management. Pros: Location: The property's proximity to the beach is fantastic, offering easy access to beautiful seaside views and stunning sunsets. Size and Comfort: The property was spacious and comfortable, accommodating our group well. Outdoor Space: The well-maintained backyard and patio were perfect for relaxation. Safety: The gated property added to our sense of security, contributing to a peaceful vacation. Property Management: The responsiveness and helpfulness of the property manager were exceptional, quickly addressing any concerns we had. Areas for Improvement: Initial Cleanliness: The property wasn't dirty, but could benefit from a more thorough clean. Pest Issue: A few mice were spotted initially, but the manager promptly resolved this issue. Beach Amenities: The absence of chairs and functional umbrellas was a slight inconvenience. However, the manager assisted us in finding rentals, which seemed to be a misunderstanding about what was included. In conclusion, our stay was enhanced by the excellent management, making up for the minor issues encountered. This property is a great choice for anyone looking for a comfortable, scenic, secure stay near the beach in Kihei.

    10 years ago, our family gathered for an 0 birthday here. We had such a wonderful experience, we came back again. It is hard to believe that it was even better. Rob, the excellent host, and Darrel, the amazing manager, made everything flow smoothly. The updates and remodeling were much appreciated. We again marvled at the sunset views, refreshing pool, beach across the street, and all the space both in and out for a large group. Thank you so much for sharing the special spot. We will hope for another adventure in 10 more years!

    huge outdoor dining area, large yard, pool, and walk across the street to the beach were fantastic features. busy street in front a bit annoying but overall great place for family gathering.
