The location and property were great. The AC was a big plus.
We love the Kiahuna. Been staying there for 40 years and this unit was terrific. The hosts provided everything we needed.
The location is beautiful. The waves on Poipu beach are big but still swimmable and good for learning to surf and boogie boarding. We enjoyed the plantation grounds and the ocean view. We were a bit stunned by the additional cleaning fee tacked on to our total at check in, of more than 100 per day. The listing on VRBO said all fees included. The unit is nice but a few things could use some attention: door hinges breaking, old shower tiles, etc. Also, a few kitchen amenities like spices and oil would be nice. The pool was fun, though it got pretty crowded and loud. If you’re looking for an upbeat place with lots to do, tons of action and people watching, big waves, etc, this place is great. If you need something quieter and not a lot of walking (up stairs, to beach and pool etc), this wouldn’t be the best place. Seems like a good spot for family reunions, as we saw lots of families gathering on the lawn with spike ball, soccer, etc. Fun place and the scenery in Kauai is stunning!
Great stay, wonderful view
The unit was really nice and exactly as pictured. Due to a delayed flight we arrived late and was a bit cinfused on the location for check in. The unit was clean and comfortable. The beach supplies (chairs, umbrella, etc) were in need of replacement as the umbrella was broken and the beach chair was more of a camping chair. Overall this place was very nice. It was quiet and the view was beautiful!

Pros:
Great central location to explore Poipu area. Nice view of ocean and lagoon from the lanai. Kitchen is well stocked including coffee filters (no cooking oils or spices). Lots of toys including folding chairs, snorkel, cooler, umbrellas, boogie boards. Shared BBQ is clean, works great, next to condo. Beach is very short walk from the condo. Corner unit and 3rd floor provides nice view of lush landscaping. Easy checkin and very responsive, accommodating host.
Cons:
3rd floor and stairs might be challenging for some. Portable AC units are very loud. Difficult to sleep or watch TV with the units running. Bed is extremely soft. Shower glass panels do not operate safely (reported to host). Small TV.
This was a great launchpad for our first trip to Kauai. Proximity to the beach was great, and we also enjoyed the pool and gym at the Athletic club across the street. Extremely clean and a good ocean view.
This was my 1st time back to kiahuna plantation in over 12 years. My daughter and I met my sister and her family over in Kuai. the condo was wonderful. It had everything we needed, loved the air conditioning. It was so great to come back to after a hot day at the beach. The master bed was amazing! Sooo comfortable!! The view was perfect.
Perfect location with beautiful ocean view. Could use some updating but very neat and clean. The a/c is 2 portable units that more than did the job but are a bit noisy. Must like stairs since it is 3rd floor location keeping it quieter and giving the wonderful ocean view.
We had a great time during our stay at Kiahuna Plantation. Our unit was centrally located so that we could visit different parts of the beach or other parts of the island with just a short drive. We preferred being located on Kiahuna Beach for the smaller crowds, but we were able to easily walk down to Poipu beach for some of it's amenities as well. We went there for Puka Dogs and to see the sea turtles come up on the beach in the evening.

It is such a cozy, comfortable condo. It is closer to the beach than we were expecting, and you can walk almost anywhere you need to. Host was super responsive and the entire process was easy.

We loved our stay here. The vibe at Kiahuna is very relaxed, and the access to the beach is great. The ventilation is enhanced by being an end unit - we never needed the A/C. The unit is very well equipped. The lanai is large and comfortable, and has a great view of the ocean. We look forward to coming back to this unit.
