The Space:
Welcome to Casa De Emdeko! Built in 1969, this charming and well-loved property is full of character and history. As is typical in tropical climates, the unit may have a distinct, vintage smell due to its age and the natural environment. While it’s an older building, it’s still a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Hawaii, with its convenient location and inviting atmosphere.
Kona vacationers will love this quiet unit located right outside of the Kailua Kona Village. Guests can have a good time right from the complex or head into town with endless activities. Shopping, restaurants, hiking trails, golf courses, and state parks are a short car ride or Uber away.
This third-floor unit has beautiful ocean views to keep you mesmerized for hours. The home opens into a bright open floor plan with a kitchen, living room, and private lanai. The well-equipped kitchen has all appliances a chef could need to whip up gourmet snacks and meals. A built-in breakfast bar for 2 creates dining space and allows guests to keep a conversation going with the chef.
Take a few steps to reach the living room. Plush seating is arranged in front of a large flat screen TV. Central A/C and keyless entry are provided to ensure your comfort. The couch also functions as a sofa sleeper for additional space. Open the lanai doors to let in an ocean breeze. Step outside onto the lanai with a pina colada and a good book. Dine alfresco at the patio table or simply unwind while you witness some of the most gorgeous sunsets over the Kona Coast.
A master bedroom is down the hall. This bedroom is furnished with a Queen bed and has an attached bathroom. The bathroom has a large vanity, separate tub, and a standalone shower.
Guests can keep busy all day right at Casa De Emdeko. The complex has a covered cabana dining area with several gas grills and an oceanfront view. There is a saltwater pool and a freshwater pool for your choosing. One pool is oceanfront, and depending on the season of your visit, you might even spot some whales and dolphins playing in the distant ocean. A sandy stunning area is surrounded by swaying palm trees on the ocean's edge.

Amazing oasis for the price. What this place lacks in udated decor makes up for it with the location (right at the edge of the ocean) and the saltwater pool is an amazing experience. I love that they blow the shell at sunset and the ukulele ladies singing group on Thursday morning adds so much charm.

We were fairly happy with the property. There’s a gorgeous view from most balconies. They AC had a lot of trouble keeping up, but there were fans inside to help. The biggest problems I had on the property were cleanliness. When we arrived I did my normal check of them bed for signs of bedbugs (there were none), and found crumpled up used tissues. We also found dishes put away which were obviously unclean. The shower in the unit is not designed well, so any shower resulted in a flood of water on the floor when we got out as water that runs down the door just pours out onto the floor. The manager did text my husband to check on us three day we arrived which was very sweet- but my husband forgot to message about the shower door. Overall- I think I’d stay again, but I don’t trust the place was cleaned properly.
