This studio unit in Lahaina, perfect for your escape to paradise. This is a timeshare but is also a hotel that is managed by Marriott. Check prices with the hotel to see what a bargain this price is for our oceanfront center units. Oceanfront studios run $900+ per night when booked directly through Marriott.
There are twelve units that are oceanfront center at this resort, and we own only oceanfront center 2 bedrooms. We rent either the full 2 bedroom lockoff, or we separate the lockoff into two separately keyed units. We can rent the studio or the one bedroom and have ads for each room type listed on VRBO. The calendar will reflect current availability for each unit type.
Both sides of the lockoff have a kitchen, washer/dryer, king-sized Westin Heavenly bed, a sofa sleeper and a nice balcony with furniture for your ocean viewing pleasure. This studio doesn't just have the juliet balcony, it has the full balcony with a complement of furniture.
The studio side of the lockoff has a two-burner cooktop, a convection microwave with directions to use it, a small dishwasher, a sink and a full-sized refrigerator. There are pots and pans and dishes as well. The full-sized refrigerator is nice to have. There is also a washer/dryer in the studio side. This is such a plus with kids.
There are lots of barbecue grills on the property for your use, and they are cleaned daily.
The resort itself is everything you expect in a five-star accommodation. There is a restaurant/ bar area, a beautiful koi pond, a huge lobby with comfortable seating, lots of palm trees, and a gorgeous pool area with a slide and plenty of lounge chairs. There are hot tubs outside by the pool area, and some are the size of a small pool.
The entire resort is oceanfront with a beautiful sandy beach and it's excellent for snorkeling and swimming. It's a short walk from the oceanfront units. You don't have to walk back to the lobby to get to the ocean, just take the elevator to the lobby level and go out the west entrance to the ocean. It's easy access to both the pool and the beach.
There are also outdoor showers and a booth to rent pool floats and anything else you might need for the pool or the ocean. Towels are provided. You will get towel cards to turn in for one towel per card. Towels or cards must be left at the end fo the stay. Not turning in your towel cards will have a cost.
These units are Saturday check-in and we reserve Saturdays only. All stays are 7 days and begin at 4 PM for check-in and end at 10 AM the following week.
There is an elevator and luggage carts to get your luggage to the unit. There is parking below the building. We park in that area and take the elevator up to our unit, which is on the end, oceanfront center. There is additional parking outside for your convenience, and if the parking garage is full.
You will have a parking pass to display on your dashboard. You can get up to two parking passes. Valet parking is $35 per day, but we park free and our guests also park free. Using the valet service will cost you.
Westin has a shuttle to take you to and from Whaler's Village, which is on the south side of Black Rock. The shuttle is very convenient and runs a regular route from the Westin resort area.
There is a sliding door in the living area to view the ocean from the interior of the unit. We leave the door open to enjoy the ocean sound. There are screens on the doors to keep out flies, definitely use the screens.
You will have a Westin Heavenly king bed and a sofa sleeper in the living area. You can sleep up to 4 people. Cribs are provided and can be reserved ahead of time with a phone call. I am happy to make that call for you. These units are perfect for a couple with small children.
The bathroom is the trademarked Westin Heavenly bathroom with the whirlpool tub and separate shower, plus a water closet with the toilet for privacy. The studio includes a washer/dryer unit.
The televisions in the unit has has cable TV. You can attach your streaming device pretty easily at Westin.
This beautiful property offers a living room space for guests to relax, but you will find your best times will be on the balcony to view whale activity.
There are barbecue grills by the pool for your use. We save a great deal of money on food by cooking in the unit. There are grocery stores nearby, both a Safeway and a Times Supermarket. The Times Supermarket is a bit of a walk, but the resort shuttle will drop you off at Safeway in the Cannery Mall. Eating on the balcony is a special treat, especially for breakfast and lunch.
The balcony faces directly west, and the sun can be brutal by 4 or 5 PM, and that is a good time to visit a nearby restaurant or shop at Whaler's Village. There is a shuttle to Whaler's Village, which is free to all guests with a key card, and it runs regularly and is very convenient. Parking at Whaler's Village can be difficult during the busier seasons of summer and winter.
Whaler's Village has Monkeypod Kitchen, Leilani's on the Beach and Kula Grill, just to name a few that we enjoy. We like to go in the later afternoon for happy hour. Leilani's has a special menu during that time, and it's not as busy as it can be at night. With the oceanfront view of the sunset from your balcony at Westin, you will be inclined to enjoy from there.
One of the best restaurants on the island is the Island Market in Kapalua at the ABC store. The prices are excellent and the coconut shrimp, burgers, steaks, loco moco and prime rib are the best on the island. We like to buy the food and take it back to our unit, but the store has a nice area to sit and relax outside and enjoy your meal. It's a takeout-counter service type of restaurant and the prices are so reasonable.
The view you have from your balcony will be of the ocean and the islands of Lanai and Molokai. The sunsets from the balcony are spectacular and occur daily. Even the cloudy sunsets can be colorful. Rainbow sunsets are some of the best.
Free WiFi during your stay. Sometimes we have to conduct business while on vacation, and that can be frustrating. There is an office area to print documents in the lobby. Sometimes we walk to the Nanea property to conduct business, when the computers in the main lobby are down. The Westin Nanea has more computers and printers available. We have also emailed documents to the front desk for them to print for us, when the printers are out of service. The front desk has been very helpful.
You will enjoy your time at Westin. Luxury for a pittance of renting directly from the hotel.
