We have stayed at many a place up in volcano, but once we found the crater Rim Cabin run by Jim and Barry, we will never stay anyplace else. They have a stunning property, incredibly landscaped, and the cabin itself is roomy, vintage redwood cozy with stained glass lights, and fireplace. And where you want modern, you find it in the well stocked kitchen and wonderful bathroom. Volcano can be warm in the morning and chilly at night, but they are prepared with warmers on the bed so you have a great night sleep. The best part however is Barry, who cleans the place absolutely impeccably, places aromatherapy candles everywhere, answers any questions (he was a geologist) and makes you feel like a local! Thanks you Jim and Barry for yet another stellar stay And PS, there are lots higher price points in volcano that don't deliver a fraction of what you get at Crater Rim Cabin
We had a wonderful time at the cabin! It was so clean and organized. All the amenities that you could want or need. The hosts Jim and Barry were so hospitable! They had coffee milk cereal and eggs! And so close to the Kīlauea volcano. The location was fantastic! So quiet and serene. The garden was beautiful and so well maintained. We will definitely be staying again and recommending the cabin to all friends and family. Thank you again Jim and Barry!
